MO_Space ends the year with an epic show curated by artist Christina Quisumbing Ramilo. It brings together 19 artists from diverse backgrounds—painters, sculptors, mixed-media practitioners, as well as photographers—responding to the theme of structures.
For the show, Quisumbing asked all the participants to interpret or express their own notions of the theme without any constraints from the curator, thus eliminating any form of screen. The mantle of freedom urges full exploration of the word’s meaning, from the artists’ gaze expressed in their own vocabularies.

The show (repost.)
Love all the work and lessons that I learned while doing this project. The exhibiting YAMs of Cole, Kolor, Marenah, Murrell, Mx.Oops, Shields, Springer and Williams were brave, diligent, and patient with me during the construction and conclusion of this exhibition. I'm both humbled and grateful for the opportunity to learn and work with them, and I wish the artists all the best for their future. Thank you 🙏🏾

New exhibition on view:
Stephen March on left
Philip Swan @phswan on right
Featuring Eric Banks, Candace Jensen, Sam Jones, Charleen Kavleski, Chris Kienke, Stephen March, Robert McCann, Rosemary Meza-DesPlas, Hatidza Mulic, Heidi Neff, Jose Presman, Ulrike Stadler, and Philip Swan. Works on view in Long Night engage the longest night of the year as a metaphor for various experiences of the world today. Experiences of political alienation, embodied states and physical and environmental displacement are countered by representations of hope that the sun will indeed rise again.
