4 years ago we had to put our Border Collie down. He had grown sick suddenly and we were left with no choice.
I swore I would never get another dog.
No more hair on the floor; no more tripping over paws always under my feet; no more vet appts and expensive dog food.
Literally 3 months after we put Sarge down, we drove 2 hours to “just look” at this guy.
Troy knew he was a goner before we even strapped on our seatbelts; the kids were excited beyond belief and I was calculating just exactly how I was going to break the news to Troy that we were NOT leaving without this dog. 🤣
He’s not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. He STILL eats our socks and underwear; he STILL eats tissue out of the garbage pails and God help us if he gets out the front door! 😳🙈 But....he teaches the kids responsibility. He teaches them problem solving (as they argue over who has to take him out at night). He teaches me patience; teaches Troy who’s REALLY at the top of the pecking order; and he teaches all of us that animals really do cure anxiety and make us feel better on our worst days. ❤️ This guy is something else....💫 #lovemygolden

BACK WHERE I BELONG ✨ Such a magical dip this evening at Langland beach in Wales. I only wished there was a board hire place so that I could go for a paddle. The water was so calm and smooth, AND I wasn’t the only person swimming without a wetsuit. See, not just me that’s crazy. 🏴
What you see is a pretty bowl of açaí, organic raw honey, pretty fruit and a sunny walk to the beach in Hawaii a couple weeks ago.
But this week I’m in the middle of leading a live version of my anxiety tools challenge. Yesterday I found myself feeling like I’d had a set back.
And as I unpacked the feelings swarming in my being I found shame. Frustration. Sadness.
Normal. Human. Emotions.
But the game changer was allowing the feelings to be there. Not swooping in to change or avoid, but ALLOW them. Explore them and where their roots were.
You see, the sunny “açaí bowl and walk to the warm sands” moments do happen. But so do the moments of overwhelm. So do the invasive thoughts that want to derail our progress.
Which is why I want to invite you to release the idea that every moment will feel great. And to also release the expectation that when they’re not that you immediately have to get back to sunnyness.
Focus instead on caring for yourself well in the harder times. On being your best advocate for compassion, encouragement, and self-love. And then reach for the tools, support, and loved ones that, like you, want to grow.

What does it even mean to be “grounded”? I think the answer to this can be different person to person. But the long and short of it is to be present. Present in your body, in the moment, in your breath. What are your favorite ways to ground yourself?

Emotions that feel good, people that feel good to be around, choices that feel better in our bodies are all indications that these things are of a higher vibration and therefore in our best interest.
Awakening souls whose energy frequency is rising will begin to notice that just their mere presence somewhere will noticeably affect the energy of other people in the room. The thought patterns you have are more loving in nature. A lower vibration will pick up lower vibrational thoughts, negativity, judgment, criticism, etc., whereas a being who is vibrating at a higher state will begin to pick up thoughts that are more loving in nature.

A higher vibration goes hand in hand with our heart chakra opening up further, and this is the reason why energetically in tune beings can begin to “feel” other people’s pain, so much so that it can almost feel like they are the ones experiencing it themselves.
4. People, places and things begin to drop out of your life unexpectedly.
The universe is constantly shedding for us things that are not serving our highest good and therefore not needed for our journey ahead, and that includes people and places.
As our vibration rises we will see that relationships that no longer are serving our evolution end, jobs that no longer make us happy come to a finish, and moves to different places are prompted through uncontrollable external circumstances.
5. Children, animals and other people seem to be attracted to you more than usual
The higher we vibrate the more light we are emanating and this can be highly attractive to others.
Animals, children and beings not necessarily rooted so much in the ego-mind will especially gravitate towards those of a higher vibration.
