@chanthebirdman encouraging his very well-trained parrots to fly! He says if you’re going to own birds you gotta let ‘em fly! But, that comes with a lot of training & that’s what he does. #chanthebirdman#griffithpark#parrots
happy friday, friends❤️✨ wanted to share some highlights with you from the @saynobullying festival last weekend. it was a deeply moving experience being able to perform and share my story. my sophomore year of high school i was bullied for my mental illness. i’ll never forget that sinking feeling - walking into the classroom to be greeted by a group of kids laughing about the self harm scars they had noticed on my arms. my battle with self harm and mental illness is something that i am sort of afraid to talk about openly on social media, but i want you to know if you’re experiencing something similar, PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out and speak up. it is so important to remember that you are LOVED, and there is always a friend/family member/teacher/someone who is willing to listen and help. reaching out to close friends was terrifying and difficult but it made all the difference and i was able to get the help that i needed. i wanted to put this out there in hopes it might help anyone who might feel alone in their struggles, you are strong and you will make it through. ok i am hopping off the soap box!!! love u all!!!💗💗#chooselove
I hoped for distant, more epic locals and climbs for today's long run, but life kinda throws curveballs and you have to settle for your local running trail. Thankfully settling means summiting a spot where one can see the ocean, DTLA, the Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood sign. Bonus is interrupting a murder of crows drafting on some warm Santa Anas, making it thematic for a typical, sunny autumn day in LA.
Also of note is that I rarely, if ever try coordinating run/workout clothing, but the confluence of these new mad baller BEAST goodrs with my Ragnar hat gives my #badatselfies game a bit of a hustle?
Join us tomorrow!!
