🌿 This year‘s xmas present aesthetic is „Nature“. I have cardboard with a wood print and copied and printed it onto normal printer paper. The leaves I collected and pressed in thick books 🌿 How do you guys like the look? I love it so much! 🌿 what am I going to do next? i was gonna watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race but then I say Sabaton are live streaming their current show in Moscow so I gotta watch that of course. Have a blessed weekend, everybody ♡
This is the first year of my adult life that I’ve decorated for the winter holidays. I grew up with agnostic-y, atheist-y parents whose backgrounds were in both Christianity and Judaism. I loved celebrating the holidays growing up but it was the watered down, Americanized version - devoid of deeper spiritual or cyclical/seasonal intention. The past few years I’ve been trying to remember the forgotten truths hidden beneath the capitalistic facade of all our major holidays. I’ve been delighted by the research that points to Santa being an Amanita Muscaria shaman and am planning on making some kind of Amanita tree topper this year - for my first Christmas tree in 12 years! (See a few posts back for more info on the Santa mushroom shaman situation)
How do you celebrate the darkest time of the year? What myths have you learned about or created yourself?
P.S. this painting of Green Tara was done by an amazing mentor I had in college, Lara Marshall. I think she still sells prints of it but I also don’t think she exists on the internets.
Hello, magical people ☺️💕 It's a Saturday and I've been feeling an energy of renewal on this particular day of #31daysofyule 😁 my hair has been growing pretty slowly and become really brittle and dry (cause they're bleached, so obvi 😅). I took the opportunity to renew myself before Yule, as it is said that you need to enter the New Year clean and pure. So I cut off the dead ends, had a bit of a pamper in the shower and scrubbed my skin to even have a fresh new skin for Yule 😆 how about you, babes? ☺️ Have you been doing any cleansing/ renewing rituals lately? Do you plan any for the upcoming week? ☺️💕🎄
Most of the time when spellwork is discussed nowadays, the spells focus exclusively on candles and incense. And this is such a shame because effective spellcraft encompasses so much more! While candles and incense are great basic spell materials, they aren't always appropriate for what you're trying to accomplish.
That's one of the topics we'll be discussing in my new course Introduction to Spellcraft. We'll also cover a variety of spell casting techniques to boost your witchy aresenal and get you thinking more innovatively with your spellcraft, as well as: ***active spell planning and casting each week***a hands on approach to spellcraft that will get you more involved in your magick and looking for ways to boost your everyday goals***a heavy focus on results with an in-depth look at spell mechacnics so you can more effectively plan your spell's focus and approach***guidance on common (and avoidable) reasons that spells fail so you can take extra precautions***a comprehensive look at materials so you can determine the magickal use of any object and toss those correspondence lists out the window***weekly real-time chats to ask question, get clarification, and share your experiences with other witches looking to be more effective with their spellcraft*** This course is one of the most ambitious projects I've ever put together and I'm so excited for us to get started! Early bird pricing ends today (Saturday, 12/15.) #witchcraft#witchery#tradcraft#tradwitch#witchesofinstagram#witchlife#hedgewitch#greenwitch#witch#witchyways#magick#coven#modernwitch#paganwitchcraft#witchywoman#eclecticwitch#spell#spellcraft#castingspells#spellwork#spellcasting#spellcaster#magicspells
Let's talk #bos (which comes in many forms and by various names such as #bookofshadows or #bookofillumination 📖) coincidentally enough, you're probably well aware of this terminology even if you aren't a #witch or can assume it's context fairly easily. These books are extremely personal, containing pertinent information regarding an individual's path, interests, etc and may contain content such as: recipes (which can be nearly anything: oils, herbs within spell jars/bottles, sachet materials for specific intentions, baked goods, ritual bath herbs/flowers, infused salts... you get the point), representations/meanings of differentiating flowers, crystals, herbology; #astrology symbols/charts, #sacredsymbols such as #runes and #sigils or even #sacredgeometry 🌱 ritual/ceremony practices and materials, #candlemagick#dreaminterpretation ☀️ this list is incomplete; books vary in content, length, etc based on the individual. This is currently the cover of my personal BOS (art work provided by the @goddessprovisions December box). #witchythings

Hello lovies:)) Its your daily(not daily🤪) reading:) ———/////////////////////////
We have the Hermit, 7 of wands and the Temperance in reverse. Your all over energy is the High Priestess and the Angel card is Raphael.
This energy is about going inward to do the work. The hermit is a slow moving pace, balancing the struggles with the 7 of wands and allowing the healing to happen. The Temperance reversed is chaos, not allowing healing to happen. Give yourself credit and time to heal. Ask yourself am i choosing to ignore my past? Am i making choices because i hurt? Are my patterns out of ‘survival mode’? Archangel Raphael is here to tell you to give yourself love, be more gentle with yourself, and slow down the running from the old hurt. Its ok to face it head on, feel it, and make a new plan with your discoveries. Im a huge fan of journaling and getting with the right therapist that gives you tools to help u make good choices and not just letting you bitch for an hour on your dime. Yes sometimes we need to do that and have someone hear us but Its applying what we learn when the emotional hard situations come to us. Another words, how do we put logic within an emotional situation.
The high priestess reminds you that you are fierce, enduring, fair, powerful and you take no shit from anyone!
Take time as the year is winding down to get into nature, slow the mind down, breath, be gentle with yourself and think globally. Compassion is in all of us💜🌎

“Don’t dismiss the elements.
Water soothes and heals.
Air refreshes and revives.
Earth grounds and holds.
Fire is a burning reminder of our own will and creative power.
Breathe them in.
Swallow their spells.
There’s a certain sweet comfort in knowing that you belong to them all.”

Enjoy your weekend Moonbeams..

🌈 cards of the day 🌈
You have no idea how beautiful it feels to bathe in the sun. 🌞 spending an hour outside feels like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket of light with every worry, every anxiety melting off.

CONdraculations to Zara Edwards!!! The answer is A) Shoved in the mistletoe that Samantha holds in her hand. Thank you everyone for playing AND for following!!! Hop on! Let’s see where the broom takes us! #borah#salemma#greenwitch#bewitched#note
Mercury entered Sagittarius on the 12th, but isn't super comfy there. Mercury likes details, particulars, and Sadge thinks and acts in big ways. But, there's abundant energy now for saying what needs to be said, and asking what you've wanted to know. Clearing the air should never be about unleashing our unprocessed emotions, rather, honoring our process and feelings and manifesting considered change, as well as reaching for the connection we need, while disconnecting outdated behaviors related to ill-fitted beliefs.
Mostly though, I'm thinking about this year, its end, how grueling it was, how depleting, but also purifying. December has shifted us away from the earlier energies, sewing what we've learned onto our cells as integration. Ideally, we know ourselves better, have dismantled ways we work against our own interests, and identified what we want while measuring the distance to it. And, the upcoming Full Moon in Cancer, plus planetary activity and the Solstice, will all color the coming year.
There will be two eclipses in January creating intense currents, like an energetic amuse-bouch for the year's themes. For now though, let's be where we are, feel into what's good and trust it.
The Full Moon on the 22nd occurs one day after Solstice which hasn't happened in 8 years and won't happen again for another 76 (space.com). The solstice is the shortest day & longest night of the year; its the promise of spring. It's a time to share the stores we've gathered for the winter with our loved ones and those who supported us, whether those stores are literal food stores, or an abundance of wisdom, compassion or faith.
A cycle is behind us, a new one has begun. We're invited to turning points, beginnings, redefining family & home, and personal renewal. The Cancer Full Moon on the 22nd will benefit this directly as Cancer naturally rules the 4th house of family. The Solstice energy of creation, combined with the Full Moon's energy of letting go, will grant us a strong advantage toward manifesting what we desire, while dismissing what no longer serves; a truly fresh start if we open to it. So, open to it, and welcome the new.
There have been a few plants on my mind lately and this is one of them. Cow parsley or wild chervil or keck, is a look alike of Queen Anne’s lace or hemlock. Being edible, (but bitter and not as fresh tasting as real chervil), it has the lovely nickname of “Mother-die” - indicative of what might happen if you do eat the wrong specimen. (Remember to please forage in areas that you know of, and please forage with experts if you don’t have knowledge of the area or species. Do not ever eat anything that is a lookalike just to be on the safety side as well💗) However small, plants tend to have lessons that are bigger than they seem. It leaves me to thinking about duplicity. About honesty and integrity and what is most important to me. That with the new year coming I am taking in what suits & protects me and mine. That I do not need confirmation from other witches (or anyone for that matter), that solitude is good for me, and that there is no ‘higher’ path than anyone else. Do no harm but take no shit. That I will find the strength in each new day to work towards the goals I have ultimately set myself up for. That my craft, in whatever form, be full of intention. That my grief will turn into production, but I will still know when to let it wash over me when I need it to. My business will be thriving next year and I’m chomping at the bit just to make this all happen! I’m going to make it happen✨
What are you looking forward to in the coming year? Hope you’re all having a lovely day and stay safe💗✨

💎Since ancient times, the Agate was used as a protective stone: those with parallel lines were used to create talismans to protect the person from the bad luck, and still today this custom is widespread.
The meaning of the Agate is a bit different from people to people, but the common meaning, protection a part, is to help the owner to reach its purposes without any interferences from those who throw up roadblocks.
This stone is one of the groups of silicate minerals, and it's a variety of quartz that is called chalcedony.
As I was saying, this stone has multiple properties: protection, rebalance of energies, improving creativity and provide courage, among the many. So, if you find yourself into situations where is important to fight with constant, calm and determination to reach a purpose, this is the right stone for you, indeed.
Also, the power energy of this stone helps to deal with problems related to forgiveness and in all that situations where grudge and bitterness are the main emotions: for this reason, this stone improves all kind of relationships. It's useful to use the energy of this stone also when you feel under pressure and too much swamped by responsibilities.
This stone promotes introspection, so it's perfect also for those that tend to react by impulse.
As a healing stone, the Agate has positive effects on the lungs, blood vessels, lymph system and on the gastrointestinal tract.
The Agate is related to the element Earth.
As all the stones of the triangular crystal system, the Agate aim to the essential, untying the complicated situations in the less time possible. 💎Resuming, the Agate is useful for:
1. Mental and spiritual protection
2. Physical protection
3. To help remember past lives - be sure to match the stone with natural elements.
4. Keep away nightmares (very useful for babies)
5. Find concentration and improve rationality
6. Solve difficult situation where bad emotions reign.
7. Protection for pregnant women
8. Balancing basically everything. .
There are many varieties of Agate, and if you're interested, you can check my stories to see a few of them. If you like this post please leave a heart!
