The olive branch 🌿 A symbol of peace or victory deriving from the customs of ancient Greece and found in most cultures of the Mediterranean basin. -
I feel so lucky to have grown up spending my summers in Simou village in Cyprus. My grandfather had a donkey, goats, rabbits, pigeons and a small plot of land where he grew fruits and vegetables. The trees we have today are the very same which my grandfather planted and cared for: olives, lemons, apricots, plums, oranges. -
Last year, my father took our harvested olives to press into olive oil for the family. It would be the last time he would do this for us 🌿 So today, I post this photo, in memory of my grandfather and father, and thank them for the fruits we enjoy, thanks to their hard work. - 🌿 Have yourself a beautiful day lovers...sending you love and light always.
I love finding inspiration on my travels! @atlantisbooks “It may be that you are not yourself luminous, but that you are a conductor of light. Some people without possessing genius have a remarkable power of stimulating it.”
Seychelles Beach, Ikaria 💙 This beach was created 30 years ago as a result of a landslide. It’s a stunningly beautiful spot and the water is incredible for swimming 😍 @ikariamag #mothernaturerocks#ikariagram#ikaria
