Before our vacation on Crete I envisioned a week of uninterrupted reading and although I got a lot of reading done we also went on small adventures. One day we rented a car and drove across the island to a small village (I photographed the French Stephen King book that someone had left behind there) before switching to boat to reach a remote part of the island (pics with boats and/or large rocks). The three-hour roadtrip there and back was my favorite part of the week since I got to witness breathtaking views, many tiny authentic villages almost untouched by tourists and a lot of winding roads among the mountains. Apart from this we had our first jetski experience, my brother maneuvered the vehicle beautifully whilst I sat with my arms wrapped around him like an octupus for most of the ride screaming of laughter and a fair share of fear. When it was my turn I must admit that we went significantly slower. But to summarise the vacation there was a lot of swimming, reading, sunbathing, ordering of sodas (here you can see the betrayal of my favorite brand Pepsi - which sadly wasn't an option at the place - with your own eyes) and we even had a go at mini-golf which I didn't deem worthy of any pictures. Good week.
#deboanatrip
