Pay explicit attention to the things that light you up. The things that feed your soul. The things that make you understand who you really want to be. Honor these feelings and instincts by acting on them. Letting go of what you thought you knew you wanted is sometimes the best next step you can take. Identify the pieces of your life that fill your eyes with fire and make your heart sing. Embracing your findings and acting on them, that is the secret. Knowing and accepting who you truly are will be your greatest skillset. Being unafraid to live authentically in tune with what you know is true for you, that will be your greatest strength. This is how you will find your place in this world and your purpose in life. It is about the person you get to be by doing the things that are completely in sync with your values and personal ideals. Once you stop worrying about all the external pressures and the feeling that you have to try to tick a certain amount of boxes that are already laid out for you, it will all become so much clearer. It will all become so much simpler. Words will have different meanings. You will learn the ability to decipher your thoughts and desires instantly and know whether they are true to you, or just a product of what you are being fed by culture and society. Once you can do that, that's when you'll know you had the answer all along.

Nobody does it better than my old man! He is a true legend in my book and continues to show why he is the best. This buck is evidence of the time and effort he puts into our farm down south. It has come a long way in the past 15 years! I'm lucky to have ya and learn all get to from ya. Congrats on this stud of a 10 pt, nobody deserves it more!

Do you know why glacial rivers & lakes are turquoise blue? 🏞 .
.
This is one of the questions that we asked on our bus tour through Torres del Paine in Patagonia & we were surprised by the answer.
.
Silt is created when rocks underneathi the surface of the ice grind from the movement of the glacier. This silt is very light and stays suspended in the lake water so when the sunlight reflects off this silt, it gives glacial rivers & lakes their spectacular turquoise blue or green colour

Being amongst Nature has always been a place I go to breathe again. My sanctuary. It’s been a place where I’m reminded to stop and be in this moment. Listen to the different birds sing their songs, leaves rustling and trees moaning and groaning against the breeze, every here and there an animal comes to greet us to only then take off again, and the sound of babbling brooks close by the further you walk along.
It’s in these moments I’m reminded to breathe and remember that all this beauty that surrounds me didn’t happen over night. It’s took time, patience, and gruelling seasons for these brief moments that bring me happiness and a resting mind.
So, when life gets rough.. stand in nature. Look around.. remember the tall strong trees that tower over you. Has taken years and forceful winds to stand that tall. The beautiful babbling brooks have had times where it was just mud, everything that surrounds you has struggled and fought to where it is right now.
A place in which you belong to stand and admire the hardship and beauty that surrounds you! So, stand tall like the trees, flow peacefully like the babbling brooks, and breathe in the breeze. Because this where you belong.

The Shwedagon Pagoda, officially named Shwedagon Zedi Daw and also known as the Great Dagon Pagoda and the Golden Pagoda, is a gilded stupa located in Yangon, Myanmar. The 326-foot-tall pagoda is over 2500 years old... Diamonds and rubies encrusted in the top of the stupa shine red orange yellow and green depending on where you're standing.

Local guide "uncle khaing with the artistic eye" showed me around here and did my first bhuddist ritual for my birthday year. In bhuddist culture when your birthday arrives it mean you are now in your next year of age. So I turned 26 on November 1st and once that passes you are in your 27th year. 🤔

I started this series of Alberta posts with a song stuck in my head. After listening to it a few times, I began to visualize each line of the first verse and chorus. For me, the song talks about the manifesting of one’s true self. I didn’t really know what to make of that, but I felt that the song is about searching, about traveling. I’ve heard a handful of people in my life who have claimed to have “found themselves” because of a trip. If traveling can trigger and revive dormant parts of our personality, then what is our true self? And because I’m lazy, I’ll just let that question hang....😑

@Regran_ed from @thefasting - The season seems to be over in Oslo. So here's my traditional yearly summary.

And phew what a ride it's been! Can't believe it's only 6-7 months ago that we started climbing on rock again. Feels like it's been two years.
This season started straight out the gate with a crazy trad grade PR of n6 (F6a+/6b, 5.10b/c) that upped my trad PR by something like 5 to 7 grades, and boosted my confidence for the season. I then went on a spree climbing a lot of 6- (F6a) trad routes throughout the season, which was amazing to me considering I saw 6- trad as a multi-year goal. Another season of consolidating that and taking it to the mountains and I'll consider taking some trips to the 6a alpine north face routes I've been dreaming about.

Mot Sola on Hægefjell was a definite high point. I had built up courage and with a good climbing friend who seemed totally unphased by the fact that I had only 1 prior season on rock, I just went for it. It had been my dream route for so long it felt unreal when I topped out.

Then on to Mont Blanc and Chamonix. Mont Blanc has never been a big deal for me, but proving I had acquired the skills to climb it without a guide was a big milestone. The 4000m vertical descent all the way down to the valley also proved that if shit hits the fan, I have the mental strength to push without stopping for 24 hours and adapt on the move.

I didn't step foot in the gym for 5-6 months. So many days bouldering and lead climbing in the sunshine. Psyche was up and down, but still, what a season. One of the best summers I've ever had. .
Thanks to everyone who made the season what it was.
.
Now... time for ice climbing and taking a few bites out of my other project: Climbing all of Northern Europe's 2000ers in winter

Why we should take care about of nature?

Nature gives us so many things for free – clean air, clean water, beautiful landscapes, breathtaking views, and the list go on and on… We take so much from nature, but what do we give in return? Pollution?😏 The least we can do is show our appreciation by protecting and preserving our environment.
