Thank you niece Evie for this nail colour selection, staring pink (luminous) with gold sparkles. Very seasonal, not. Thank you Rachel @beautyrepublica For making them look so good. I have paired them with this beautifully labelled Nebbiolo from Australia, yes Australia. This is made by @col_mc and Jennie Gardner the team behind some young punks, however they see the Adelina wines as a different beast, these wines show a sense of place, site, climate and use minimal intervention wine making techniques. The winery is tiny and fruit all top quality and hand picked. The wines live up to the amazing labels for sure. This wine is delicious. It’s meaty, gamey, strawberry fruit, rose, cinnamon, racy and spicy. A complex and clean wine. This would work really well with charcuterie or any rich Italian dishes. It would also make a great Christmas gift. It’s not cheap but worth it. @pernamark @wineaustralia @magda.gawrych @jakemh_ @callie_wils @sophhaskell @rachelcunnell @whambam__ @fourthandchurch #redwine#nebbiolo#nails#nailsandwine#colourmatching#hotpink#sparkles#greatlabel#adelinawines#foodandwine#adelaide#adelaidehills#minimalintervention#smallproduction#bestnieceever#christmaswine#italianstyle#independentretailer#winemerchant#brighton
Don’t forget our shop at Queen’s Park road is now open every Sunday until Christmas from 12-5pm. Please pop in today and meet our newest team member, the excellent Jake. We’ve just got these two delicious Banyuls back in stock and I love them! The red was one of the first sweet wines I tried when I started in the business and I love art nouveau and the mucha labels are as beautiful as the wines. These are fortified wines from the south of France, made in a traditional way which encourages some controlled oxidation in oak. The red has been aged for over six years before release. It’s mainly Grenache fruit from really old vines. It has a really good balance of dried fruit, coffee, cocoa and nut flavours, it’s not cloying. It would work really well with chocolate or cheese, or even a cigar! The white is the first made in this region and is made from 100% Grenache Blanc. This is aged in oak for about 1 year in oak, this is much lighter, delicate, and floral than the red version. It would make a great aperitif or would work well with a fruit tart. @magda.gawrych @jakemh_ @fourthandchurch @robtheboozer #fortifiedwine#banyuls#vindouxnaturel#grenache#sweetwine#dessertwine#greatlabel#artdeco#brightonwine#winemerchant#independentretailer#opentoday#wine#christmaswine#sundaymotivation
The first single cask bourbon according to them, dates back to the 1800s and as you can see on the top of the bottle the “monopoly piece” each different edition of Blanton has a different top so you can collect them. But Enough about that.
Vanilla, honey, well rounded sweet, stereotypical bourbon, strong notes of corn, no surprises on the nose.
Really nice, well rounded, no spiky notes, same as the nose vanilla, corn, slight hints of peppercorn, very almost non existent spice notes, tiny amounts of nutty flavours. Slightly waxy.
Over all a well rounded, friendly bourbon, a background bourbon if you will, just nice to enjoy with some company. Perfect for mixing or on the rocks or neat. How ever you prefer. Another interesting thing is they put a huge amount of information on the label for those looking for that type of thing, it’s a nice touch.
I participated from a far with @piratespressrecords event this week. My order got here in two days! I had porch pirates steal packages from my house this week. Thankfully, not this one. I improved my vinyl collection and @piratespress sent a bunch of other great stuff. Thank you @milothemilitant #buythemerch#supportyourscene#greatlabel#vinyl#punkmusiceveryday#punk
