I'm going to be honest, even though I completed the #FearFoodFriday challenge I was embarrassed by my reaction (as you can tell because I'm usually more talkative in my videos) and I wasn't going to upload the video.
But I did because I genuinely want to be a friend to whoever is watching and show them how scary highs and lows can be, and they are not alone. I NEVER get emotional in public so I feel really vulnerable posting it for the world to see, but like I said... I want you to know me for Jax and not the 'perfect' Jax. I would love it if you checked it out (link in bio) and could suggest foods for us to conquer together on this journey x
Some people knew what their life’s passion would be from birth. Many are still figuring things out. Time, age, will never be a hindering factor if you plan right, and do right.
I thought I would be a school teacher for life. I remember when I first started at @Equinox, in my thirties, handing out towels and changing tv channels, feeling like I started the game so late. Having superstar, successful fit pros like @rachelvfitness for coworkers (who, by the way, was instrumental in my first tv appearance) was both inspiring and disheartening, making me further question my potential. But you look inward and you ask yourself, whatever it is that I need from this world to make ME a better person... how can I BE that person to provide that need to the world? And when you merge that need with what you love to do, whatever sets your soul on fire, then success will undoubtedly come.
If you are uncertain on what your ultimate goal is, just work on improving as a human being. Work out. Read. Travel. Connect with people. Inspiration and purpose can come from the most unexpected things, and unexpected people. If you have your path, but not certain where your road will lead, just keep forging ahead. You’ll either reach a fork in the road and turn, or you’ll press on and let life reveal its grand design for you.

Beginning this week with gratitude... appreciation for the people who seed your dreams, for whom mutual desire for growth and success marks our relationships, egos are left by the wayside, and we believe we can all win. @vizfit_apparel was never about fancy marketing, profits, or popularity. It was about finding the people who needed the small reminders that inner confidence doesn’t come from likes, followers, or accolades. It’s the hidden victories that come from doing one more rep when you really want to give up, stepping outside of your comfort zone, going against the crowd. I get more pride from the private messages from people who push harder in their #VizFit apparel than from IG promotional posts. You are capable of great things. I have fought for my country
I have put the interest and safety of others above my own
I have lost fellow soldiers in battle (Desert Shield / Desert Storm)
I have fought for the freedom enjoyed by most in the USA
I have faced death and "God delivered me from my enemies..."
The task ahead was never greater than the power behind me
When the country took a stand, I was there to support it
I turned fear into unbreakable courage - I am a USA WAR VETERAN
I will never forget those who paid the ultimate sacrifice
And today, I honor those still serving, protecting and defending our country...
May God continue to protect you all like He protected me - amen!

My grandmother’s sweet potato casserole is always a must on our Thanksgiving table! I’ve thought about making it healthier, but I don’t think my mom-mom would approve, 🤔 so here it is in all it’s sugary and buttery glory! 🍠🍠🍠

TGIF! It's currently a cold and rainy Friday over here and after a fire drill this morning, I am so looking forward to lunch.
What are you eating for lunch today? I've got this spicy chicken prep that will be on the blog soon!
An added bonus of a meal prep is not having to go back out in the rain to buy food 😂
Regram from @workweeklunch - Who said holiday meals can’t be healthy? 🙄 This week I’m developing 7 new holiday recipes that you can feel good about serving to guests OR using for meal prep!! Holiday cooking = batch cooking, so why not turn some of our favorites into meals we can take to work?
*I didn’t have room to fit all 18 meals in this picture. The salad, lasagna and Mac and cheese made a lot more servings than pictured and the granola has at least 2 servings in there. Pancakes also = 2 servings.
All meals will be stored in the fridge, reheated in the microwave and eaten by Wednesday night. I have no idea what the calories are because I don’t count!
Breakfast option 1: vegan apple cinnamon pancakes topped with walnuts and dried cranberries. These smell amazing!
Breakfast option 2: vegan gingerbread granola with walnuts and pepitas (gonna eat it with cottage cheese)
Meal option 1: chickpea kale salad with butternut squash (vegan) topped with pepitas and cranberries.
Meal option 2: butternut squash & spinach lasagna (vegetarian)
Meal option 3: green bean, mushroom & gruyere mac n’ cheese (vegetarian)
Meal option 4: roasted Brussels sprouts, broccoli, sweet potato and cranberries with herb chicken thighs
Got questions about this prep? Drop them below!
