I should be in bed... I am in bed... but I should be asleep!
Instead I have visions of this beautiful, enormous hotel in my mind. Waterfalls scattered along the indoor lake & small river. French quarter style stores & mezzanine. With tropical plants all around the glass atrium to make you forget it's 34° outside (and dropping).
If all of that wasn't enough. They had a boat tour on the lake, an indoor ice skating rink, a Christmas concert with Trace Atkins & an indoor/outdoor waterpark. All while being right next door to the @opry (Grand Ole Opry House).
Really NASHVILLE! You made the little country girl inside this Oakland woman very happy!
With 2018 coming to an end in the next couple of weeks I find myself reflecting on a lot and just thinking back on everything this year has brought. The good, the bad, the struggles, the accomplishments, and everything in between. I have one of the best support teams around. Between my family and my friends I’m surrounded by so much love and support, and then I have all of y’all who are fans of what I do and that truly means the most to me. Pursing this dream of country music has not been an easy one and the road is sometimes really winding and dark, and in those moments it’s really hard. But then you get the moments when the road is clear and it just makes the drive easier. I’m not about doing this the easy way, I know I’m gonna struggle and I know I’m going to find myself at a crossroads a lot of the time and even fall into a pothole. But it’s y’all, my God, my family, my friends, and my fans who keep me going and make this journey so incredible. I’m so grateful to be able to share everything with y’all and can’t wait to see what 2019 brings. So this song is a powerful one called, “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion and it is dedicated to all of y’all who have been my support, my team, and my rock through it all. #BecauseYouLovedMe#CelineDion#memories#grateful#loved#support#thankful#blessed#thankyou#perseverance#amazed#roadlesstraveled#Imonmyway#piano#pianocover#12DaysofVoice#TylerKohrs#TylerKohrsMusic @picklerandben #PicklerandBen @nbcthevoice @americanidol @agtauditions @thevoicecasting #thevoicecasting @wowmusicians #wowmusicians @topvocalist @singersspotlight @voixtube #voixtube#singersspotlight @cma @cmafoundation @acmawards @bluebirdcafetn @listeningroomcafe #grandoleopry#americanidol#listeningroomcafe#ellenshow @theellenshow @tykellyandchuck @realcountrytv @bobbybonesshow @opry

@Crowder had us in stitches as we got to know him on the latest episode of @allourfavoritepeople!! (Link in bio.) —A maker of “holy ghost church music,” Crowder just released his sprawling album, “I Know a Ghost,” (don’t miss that majestic album cover) but we didn’t get to talking about the new music until the second half of our conversation. At first, we just laughed as Crowder told us side-splitting stories about getting the hang of the whirlpool at the spa, measuring guys for pants as part of a summer job and keeping his randomly hilarious Instagram account going. Things get a little deeper in the second half as we dive in to music and faith. — Subscribe to @allourfavoritepeople at @applepodcasts, @googleplaymusic, @spotify, @tunein or wherever you get your shows. I love how Nashville has so much to offer – and yet – it feels somewhat like a small town, too!
If you guys end up doing something off the list, or find something even better, be sure to tag us! We want to see you guys making memories!.
What an amazing year! ☆
We can tell you, this business is TOUGH & it WILL tear you down!! Being an independent duo with no label, no manager of any kind, no booking agent, no backer & just simply doing it all ourselves & working our butts off can be extremely trying! However, when we see things like this....it makes all those very very trying times worth every single bit of them!
God has immensely blessed us with this career that we get to do together called music. Thank you to the FANS who are constantly listening, sharing and just loving our music! Thank you @spotify for giving independent artist like us such a wonderful platform for the world to hear us!
Happy birthday Emily Dickinson, Guitar Slim, and Bobby Flay.
Also, on this date in 1927, The Grand Ole Opry made its first radio broadcast. In honor, today’s song of the day is from a Grand Ole Opry favorite, Hank Garland, and it is “Sugarfoot Rag”
