// When the window boxes are overflowing with flowers that match the shutters ❤️❤️... and, why not, the boat 🚣🏼♀️ our front, too. 😍
Time for a little self-care✨. When I worked full time as a physio it was easy to ask a colleague to work on some of my tight areas, but now I work for myself I don’t have anyone around to ask. Downside of working for yourself. Lately my neck has been giving me some problems due to not being in the gym quite as much and and spending more of my day sat down. My posture is not as good as it used to be so is having a knock on effect on my upper shoulders and neck. Anyway I booked in for a deep tissue massage at @arigato_amsterdam today to help loosen me up, I’m very particular about who I go to for massages but I had a great experience and am happy to say it’s just around the corner from me, so I’ll be back again soon! Need to get into a regular habit of booking a massage to keep me on track. Anyway now for a snooze 😴 . Tomorrow I’ll be back in the gym 👍🏻💪🏻 #arigatoamsterdam#massagetime
\\ ROYAL PALACE OF AMSTERDAM //
The Royal Palace of Amsterdam is one of three palaces that are used by the Dutch Royal Family. The palace faces Dam Square, one of the busiest areas of Amsterdam. After originally serving as Amsterdam's town hall for a number of years, ownership passed to Louis Napoleon, brother of Napoleon Bonaparte, following his take-over as King Louis I of Holland in 1806. The Dutch royal family regained power in 1813 after Napoleon's fall from grace, and the palace became a home for the royals again. Years later, the balcony of this palace is where King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima shared their first kiss as husband and wife (William and Kate, anyone?) in 2002.

The Begijnhof is an old courtyard in Amsterdam and has existed there since the 14th century. The buildings are all slightly newer, but are still occupied by single women; originally, the occupants were Catholic women who lived similarly to nuns but did not take vows. The courtyard is home to the Het Houten Huis, the oldest standing house in Amsterdam. The courtyard has a hushed, peaceful air, even though it is one of the top ten attractions of Amsterdam!
