The first luncheon for Montérégie (south shore of Montreal) leaders was held in Saint-Hyacinthe this fall. Great enthusiasm occured as, for the first time in many years, pastors, elders, and Church leaders showed great interest in working together for the advancement of the Gospel.
These flagship Churches’ desire to work together is spreading to neighboring Churches who are increasingly inclined to collaborate as well.
International multiple award winning Gospel singer and song writer, Donnie McClurkin ( @donmac6453 )survived accident few days after performing at The Experience.
SEE THE SINGER POSTED ON FACEBOOK BELOW;
Was in a serious accident at 12:50am this morning...passed out while driving on the highway. Totaled the car...hospitalized, going through a myriad of tests.....
But I’m alive!!!
Lost consciousness driving...but two human angels followed my swerving car with their emergency blinkers onto stop traffic ....drove behind me until my car crashed into the middle concrete island. I remember none of it except those two angels pulling me out of the passengers side of the crumbled TOTALED car..airbags deployed...crushed metal and Fiberglas!!
I AM ALIVE!!!!
Somewhat mangled, stitches on left thumb, sprained wrist, hurt knee, but I’m still here! God and two angels saved my life! I owe them...
I am still here by the grace of God!
Thank you, Lord...thank you!
"My yoke is sweet, and my burden is light." In other words, Jesus says to each of us: "The yoke that I put on you is perfectly suited to you and I am sure you will be able to lift them. If I put something on your shoulders, it's only because I believe in you and I'm sure you can handle it." Is it not enough to give yourself to put it on?❤
The young ox is taught to walk in yoke by combining it with old, experienced ox. The young ox usually thinks that the pace of work is too slow, so it is tearing forward which only causes pain. Other young oxen have the temptation to laze, but the old ox goes faster and the yoke begins to cause pain. Still other oxen are tempted to pull left or right and deviate from the best path. In time, the young ox thinks: This old ox knows what he's talking about. He knows what's going on. I will learn from him and imitate him.
This young ox is an analogy of us - a Christians. Often, just like him, we think that the pace is too slow and (most often) right after conversion we are tearing forward, wanting to convert everyone around, without having any grounding of faith. Other times, we tend to be lazy, and "bumping" in loving God and our brother and sister. At other times we are looking for shortcuts and, for example we consider the Church's teaching to be detached from reality and present times.
See that the yoke is what saves the young cry from deviation from the ideal path and the ideal pace. However, the yoke works only when there are two people in it. One of them is us and the other is the Holy Spirit who guides us and teaches us healthy growth in love and faith.

SINGING JOY TO THE WORLD!
Robert F. Darden, professor of journalism and founder of Baylor’s Black Gospel Music Restoration Project said, “If you read the lyrics as they were transcribed, many of them are in the present tense.
When you hear the Christmas spirituals, you’re hearing people who (believe) this is a real live event,” Darden said, “Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born, not was born. That gives them more of an immediacy and a power than songs that are in the past tense.” Darden listed these eight Christmas spirituals as some of the most influential songs that help him reflect on the true essence of Christmas.
1. “Rise Up Shepherd and Follow” from Odetta: Christmas Spirituals
2. “Mary, What You Gonna Call That Pretty Little Baby?” featuring Marion Williams and Princess Stewart from Black Nativity
3. “Sweet Little Jesus Boy” from The Harmonizing Four
4. “Silent Night” by the Mighty Clouds of Joy from A Gospel Christmas Celebration
5. “Christmas Hymn” by Karen Kraft from The Texas Christmas Selection
6. “Go Tell It on the Mountain” by the Mighty Clouds of Joy from The Legendary Groups of Gospel
7. “Joy to the World” featuring Marion Williams and Princess Stewart from Black Nativity
8. “Hallelujah Chorus” by Pastor Donald Alford and the Progressive Radio Choir from A Gospel Family Christmas http://ow.ly/Rae730mWBmh
