The landscape in #taganga#colombia really was interesting. These dry, brown #mountains are everywhere and catch the light perfectly for photos. Three months without rain + 40 degree heat had sucked any moisture from them. Even the cactus were starting to turn brown! 😳
Waking up at 5 in the morning for work isn't so bad when you get to do something fun and it involves a best friend.
//Today// Pros: Making it through a long day and actually getting a lot done, learning more about vinyl from a wonderful human being, time outside, Starbucks stops, Aldi's blueberry muffins lovingly made by my sister, and dark chocolate covered pretzels. // Cons: The Fin-meister being sick and not being able to be there for him, having to wake up 5 a.m., biting my nails off, running out of clean socks, and needing just like 3 more hours of daylight and life to get some things done. #ProsandConsofLife
The craziest trip I ever took was when I was spending a summer in Ghana. This was 10 years ago so excuse the poor quality photos. We decided to take a weekend trip to see elephants because I LOVE elephants. The ‘resort’ was on a cliff overlooking a waterhole that had elephants coming and going all day long. It was one of the most incredible experiences. We did a walking tour in the rainforest and were so close to all sorts of animals. Getting there however was insane. It was only suppose to be a 6 hour bus ride and we ended up getting on a wrong bus and going 7 hours out of the way. It was 3 in the morning and there were no hotel rooms available besides one motel room that had a bent nail that you twisted for a lock, no bathroom and wide open windows. The next morning after very little sleep we found that there were no buses to where we needed to go so we hitched a ride with some government workers (I think 😂). Then we were dropped off in a tiny little village with hundreds of sheep roaming around and no taxis so we then hopped on the back of some motorcycles and made our way to the resort. We enjoyed an incredible two days in Molé that I could spend hours talking about. By this point we had ran out of money because everything had to be done in cash, there were no banks in the village or even hours from us in any direction. So we ended up hitching the 8 hour ride home with some British guys that we had met in Molé. It was so crazy and yet so amazing. My summer in Ghana is what really set off my addiction to travel and adventure. I want to hear what your craziest travel adventure was? #wanderwithme#ghana 🇬🇭 #timetotravel#getoutandexplore#gosomewherenew
Home again, and having so much fun going through photos and memories from an amazing vacation with my family. ❤️Here’s a serene peek of the Pyramid at The Louvre ☀️ Can’t wait to get back to sewing and creating this week! #gosomewherenew#getinspired#tallpinemercantile
I tell people this all the time. If you only do what you have always been doing, at the end of this life, that is all you will have...with a ton of "I wish I would have tried that"
Do yourself a favor and every year do something new, that you never tried. Or go somewhere you have never been.
Take all the God has given you and run with it! He didn't put you on this planet to be a prisoner, there is a purpose for your life!
I can't wait to add Yellowstone, White Water Rafting, and Backpacking to my list... #motto#mondaymotivation#justlive#trysomethingnew#gosomewherenew
Who knew that my favorite party dress would be 25-years-old and from my mom's closet. 🤷🏻♀️ shout out to @trivard77 for buying this dress so many years ago. //
The rehearsal was great, today is the one night only event of Justin and Corrinne’s wedding. Getting to help with the proposal two years ago and the people themselves make this celebration hold a special place In my heart. I can’t wait to party the night away with this awesome couple and all of their loved ones! #gone_fischer
I have a dream. My dream is that one day, I WILL be able to grow some succulents and NOT kill them. //
I have a tendency to over love the things that I try and grow. I hover. I over water. I worry about them. //
But I’m thinking about giving it another shot. Maybe I’m just busy enough to not hover. 😅
Props to my boyfriend’s mom for her succulent growing skillllzzzzz showcased in this photo.... #butseriously#lookatthoseleaves
These two ladies — they are some of my favorite ladies to meet at the well (so to speak). For what we have in common, we have just as much different. However, we always seem to agree that we love wine, snuggles, ponies, and each other. We have learned to agree, disagree, grown-up, watched each other change our minds, learned to grow with each other as we have changed over the last 7 years. But I wouldn't change it one little bit. I love them for all we are worth and more. #girlfriendsweekend#lovesofmylife
