Four years ago, I came across a small camera. One of our seniors had it in my college. It din't have any display screen or a viewfinder. I was so intrigued by it that I started researching about it and found out that it's an action camera called Gopro Hero3. Works underwater too? Wow! I really wanted to try it out. I had watched documentaries and behind-the-scene videos where they would use a huge setup to shoot underwater. But something as tiny as this camera was capable of it, all by itself! It was almost unimaginable. So I saved some money and bought my first Gopro Hero 4. From helping me shoot underwater, to replacing wide-angle lenses in my shoots, to acting as a voice recorder for an award-winning film, GoPro has always been there, always in my pocket. Working with them was always a dream for me.
Cut to : I was in Kerala a couple of days back, producing content on the Malabar River Festival, for Gopro India. I can't possibly explain how exciting the whole week was. The Shooting was no less difficult than the kayaking. The rocks around the river were so slippery that I fell multiple times on day-1 itself. A majority of concerned people asked me the count later. Frankly, I don't remember. From bruising my hands and knees to finding my legs swollen by the end of the day, it was all more than worth it. More so because of the amazing action camera that was with me at all times.
