A curious thing, but my most personal blog is also tracking as my most popular. In case you missed it...
Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu
Sebuah novel karya: Puthut EA. “Aku tak ingin cinta sejati. Tapi biarkan aku mencicipi cinta yang
bukan sesaat. Biarkan aku berjuang dan bertahan di sana. Biarkan
banyak hal. Sebuah kisah yang mengajak Anda membumi, bahwa
hidup acapkali bukanlah soal yang Anda inginkan, melainkan apa
yang Anda miliki. Sebuah novel yang memaklumatkan bahwa hidup
ini sangat berharga dan layak dijalani.

QOTD: Favorite 2018 debut so far?
I finished Furyborn last night and I was very pleasantly surprised by it. Going in I didn’t really know what to expect. I’ve heard mixed reviews, and I was nervous about the POV switch every chapter. I was nervous that the switch would take me out of the story, but it actually did the opposite! I actually wanted to keep reading because I wanted to get through one chapter to get back to the other pov and know what happened! It was smart on the author’s part- it kept me reading!
Obviously I suck at reviews but just know that I gave this book 4/5🌟 and I HIGHLY recommend it! Great start to a series!
Found the BOTM At @barnesandnoble tonight! Not much time left before this months book is up! Already planning ahead for next months book. We will be discussing Easy very soon! Hope your night is good friends and happy reading always :)
I'm really sorry for the crap photo but I was rushing to take some yesterday while we had sunlight. By the time I got to these my back was killing me from moving all the books 😂
Anyway, these are some of the bookmarks I've received in @mirkwoodscribes grab bags. Some I've already given away but these are the ones I'm keeping for myself. Oh and one that's in my next read. I love these bookmarks and I cannot wait to get more 😍
I also want one of her beautiful mugs too!! Next time I'll try to take better photos 😂
Date night tonight at our favorite bookstore to meet the author of one of our shared favorite series because being married to a reader is GREAT, YOU GUYS. 🤗📚 (Also, @sabaatahir is a national treasure and she was a literal delight to see live. I cannot wait to dig into this one!)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Magpie Murders. Anthony Horowitz. @meganzolnier told me I had to read this. And then kept asking if I had. Well I have. And it has inspired my upcoming Agatha Christie deep dive. But this was a great turn on the classic whodunnit and I couldn’t have asked for a better first Summer book! #hillreads#magpiemurders#anthonyhorowitz
Why not start your lazy Saturday with reading? 📖 I’ve got so many books I bought in June that I want to finish this summer! ☀️ What are you reading now? What would recommend me to read? 🙏 #ashleytalks#bookstagram#bookclub

I woke up at 3 this morning because my dog was growling at a corner of my room. Me being superstition af I was like "who let this demon through?" But once I turned on the lights I realized he was growling at my hat. I had to throw it in the closet so he would chill. --- In other news I finished Alex Approximately! It was so cute and I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. Although a big part might be because I was familar with the landscape that was shared in this book. I mean monterey, big sur, redwood trees! I just love the california coast line.
🌟 Happy weekend bookhearts!
🙋♀️ My weekend is full of errands. Right now Im at the hair salon getting my hair treated. I arrived and saw the hair of the customer next to me.. and her hair was so good. I said to the hairdresser I wanted the same 😂 I have full trust in her after seeing those results. Has that ever happened to you? (Doesnt have to be in a salon.. I also do this when I order food and see or hear other peoples' orders!!)
If you have noticed I changed my profile photo! Hoping this suits my feed better 😊
🎨 As some of you will be aware I also do coloring books. I have been so slack with this lately but every now and again I will post some bookish coloring pages I have completed or currentlu working on. Here is the infamous shoe throwing scene in ACOMAF. Which scene would you most like to see drawn/coloured in?? Basically love any and all Charlie Bowater art so any really.
❓ QOTD what are your bookish hobbies (apart from reading lol)??
Have a great weekend everyone!
"My Name is Bruce"
Summary: Bruce Willis loves his f&$%ing vacations. Even Russian thugs with machine guns don't bother him. All he wants is some sun, sand, and women. What goes perfect with a beer on the beach? 'Prolly' a grenade or two. Now go on and 'Vacation Hard'. *Excerpt Chapter 1
“And your name please sir?” the woman behind the desk asked.
“My name is Bruce,” he handed her his credit card.
“Oh, yes. I see your reservation right here.” She pulled out a gun.
Bruce knocked the gun aside and drew his pistol.
He placed it to her forehead.
People around gasped and ran.
The front desk worker glared angrily with her eyes.
Oh SHIT! Bruce was caught off guard.
She moved quick and knocked his gun aside, dropped hers, and swung at him with a small knife she pulled from her jacket sleeve.
Bruce dodged leaning back.
The blade sliced inches from his face. He grabbed the woman by the hair and slammed her face into the counter.
She cried out and blood flowed from her nose. Her eyes rolled back.
He grabbed the room key. The front desk worker fell to the floor.
Bruce walked to his room carrying a shoulder bag and the room key. Fuck this vacation is needed.

we'll blame it on the wine i didn't have. i added a fourth frame and realized after, that i only had three parts to sing, so you're stuck with some of my incredible acting skills. also nvm the headgear lol, it's the only friggin' thing i could find to record. happy friday. 💜🥂
another also, i will regret posting this.
“Every night, I see them... these big, monstrous, beautiful things I could make... so real I could almost reach out and touch them. My dreams keep growing, Harry. Even while my options keep shrinking. It’s like demanding that I make them, demanding to be seen, demanding to exist... and now I’m scared I’ll never finish a single one.”
— Scott McCloud, The Sculptor
Another book finished making my current status 3/10 books for 2018.
#iseeyou is #claremackintosh 's second novel after her excellent #iletyougo which I gave 5/5. Personally I find it naturally tougher for seconds to trump their already amazing debuts. So although I See You isn't as nicely crafted as I Let You Go, I still enjoyed this. Quite fond of the twists and final revelation (pretty sneaky of you, Clare, to insert that final bit, nice touch). There are also quite a few suspects thrown in to confuse readers (I've had my suspicions) and the true villain turned out quite unexpected. I'm not going to spoil it but let's just say... generalization often makes us miss the mark.
As for the theme itself, I can somehow relate because I used to take public transport often until I owned a car. So it gives me the shudders to think having a routine route to and from work on a public transport is such an easy way for people to predict your every step and turn. I'll probably be reminded of this book everytime I take the train in the future 😅
...Miss Kitty thinks I should read this book next. She's just been told that I can't oblige her at this time and she's not a happy cat about it. She's processing the rejection as we speak. 😾

“When you can get away with portraying people as less than human, demeaning them in words and images, you start to justify to yourself other ways to hurt them.” - The Heart of a Chief by Joseph Bruchac
Though written in 1998, this book calls attention to issues that are still very poignant today. I think everyone could benefit from picking up this book, especially those who are struggling to but desire to understand the poc perspective.
