This time last week I was in the ER, scared and frustrated at my body and worried it would be a real set back. Luckily after a few days I was back on my feet. Tonight I had a bunch of excuses not to run...long hard week, it was raining, getting dark, don’t want to “overdo” it, blah blah... I chose to run, I surprised myself by beating my goal easily. And it was worth it to remind myself that my body IS strong, and my mind is stronger 👊🏻 #running#run#train#strong#stronggirls#endometriosis#keepgoing#goodpain#training#muaythai#settinggoals
So I found a class called Barre and thought “Why not try it” being all I new was it had to do with your gluts. Well let me tell you it’s so much more then just your gluts. It’s your core, cardio and your whole leg fucking hurts pretty much from the moment you start until .... well let’s just say I’m still filling it now (9.30pm) even though I did the class at 5.30am 😂 My ass and legs get smashed, they burn, shake and even feel like they are going to fall off, but yet I still go back because I feel like I have gotten stronger and my leg shape has changed. If you think it’s all about fluffing around and doesn’t do much then you should give it a go before you judge because you will be surprised and definitely become addicted to it. Thanks to this Gem @amy_l_rached for kicking my ass every week and getting the best me 💪🏻💙 #barre#jellylegs#goodpain#gohardorgohome#pushthroughthepain#nopainnogain#asn#asnfuelled
Since i went to a new Edge today, had to go hard af. Killed a very painful leg day today...probably the most brutal one I had this year just because the volume was insane *watch my story/“gym training” highlights to see). Then afterwards did 15 minutes of chest (here’s 245 x 5 in my low-mid 170s). Then after, did like 30-40 minutes of biceps...I have like negative 4 energy lmao but this whole gym session was 🔥🔥🔥 now...time to keep cutting lol #backtocutting#gymsession#gymflow#gymmotivation#legday#chest#arms#pain#supersore#pain#goodpain
344/365: First off, this is a political post (just a heads up). For me, it's the future that keeps me up. While I'm not "scared" per se, there's a lot to be worried about if you have a "know" about what is happening.
My current media diet is mostly Brexit related and the horror of having an entire country being put at sides with one another. It's pure madness to watch every day the ridiculous circus this whole thing is.
But it makes me wonder, why was it a good idea anyway to leave? (Don't at me, it's a rhetorical question and I know EVERY SIDE of the Brexit debate. EVERY SIDE.) And why do you think you're better off alone?
For me, the future is getting dark. D.A.R.K. Autocracy is becoming more normalized, the far right is rising to unprecedented heights, and people seem to let it idly by as nationalism is on the rise. Again.
For me, I don't agree with "nationalism". Patriotism is fine. Be proud of your country, but nationalism is dangerous as it leads to where we are now with this nonsense of "America First" (or "UK First" as it were) where we sit idly by and let other countries that are autocratic take the reigns of handling the world.
Is that what you want? Do you want China or Russia (who both are extremely nationalistic) running the world? I should hope not. Both are alarming places to be in and the future there is so bleak.
But, with a hands-off approach, this is what you'll get.
We need to be more cooperative as a society and with our neighbors and the rest of the world.
We. Need. To. Be. An. Example.
We. Need. To. Be. A. Leader.
Honestly, I hope the next two years are just an aberration same as the last two and this all ends.
I'm sorry if people don't like change and don't understand what is going on and / or don't agree with the changes BUT it is not worth sacrificing democracy amd a pluralistic society for a world where autocrats rule in place.
We essentially had two world wars about this exact thing happening now. Let's not have a third.
Today's album (EP), "Goodpain" by Yoke Lore, has nothing to do with the question but it did help to gather my thoughts together.
“THE PAIN YOU FEEL TODAY, WILL BE THE STRENGTH YOU FEEL TOMORROW.” Unknown
We normally avoid pain at all cost, but it’s only through the pain that we grow in all ways.
The GOOD PAIN during and after we exercise reflects positive change in our body, and it is part of the body’s adaptation to an activity or physical load.
When you put your muscles under stress or under load, you are actually causing microscopic injuries to the muscles. These tiny injuries stimulate muscle healing and replicating of muscle fibres and strength.
So this is the kind of pain we are looking after during our workout. Believe that you are stronger than you think, be confident
and make sure you feel the pain. Without it, you’ll not get any results.
I normally tell my clients not to make shapes with their bodies, but to
make sure they’re feeling the burn 😉

Week one back in the routine of working out has been PAINFUL!! 😂😂 I have been doing some stretching for my low back, glutes, hams, quads, hip flexors, and calves... but I NEED a full session of yoga and some foam rolling tomorrow for my rest day!! It's a good kind of pain though! Let's me know I'm strengthening and energizing my body!! Next week will be massages since my hubby offered to learn some stuff to help me out! (Probably so that I'll return the favor 😜😁)
Who else is starting to get themselves back on track BEFORE the New Years rush?! .

Last night at The Dacres Grand Opening we had one heck of a turn out!! @yoke_lore and @talkerceleste absolutely knocked it out of the park! So, so good and such a fun time!! THANK YOU!!! #thedacres#wallawallamusic#friday
How deep is deep tissue? The pressure question is an ongoing one for remedial massage. We all have very different tolerances & preferences and finding the right balance is key. Not too fluffy, yet not too intense. ‘Not everything that hurts is therapeutic, but not every therapeutic procedure is painless!’ Always discuss your comfort levels. An effective massage is team work- client & therapist working together.
