unique and memorable experiences | that’s what comes to mind when we try to describe Cuttings’ Table to those who ask what it is we’re really up to.
we’ve spent the past nine and a half years together, first navigating a long distance relationship up and down the east coast of the US, and then venturing across the pond to spend our first three and a half years of marriage together in the UK.
a constant during all of these transitions has been our shared love of delicious food, and the way that we’ve merged our families’ love of cooking.
we both grew up admiring our parents’ skills in the kitchen. my father’s imitation of Julia Childs’ boisterous, high pitched voice on PBS as he dressed whole chickens for our family and roasted beef for the dozens of guests that floated in and out of our revolving kitchen door, while my mother used any of her limited spare time to create homemade soups and salads. Mike’s father’s passion for smoking meats and roasting coffee, while his mother prepared delicious carrot cakes and roasted vegetables.
even in our first tiny flat’s kitchen in London, we were recreating these family recipes together to stay connected to home, and create new memories in a new home together. over time, it became clear that cooking together, and creating memorable experiences for others was a true passion. without a clear ‘business plan’ ahead, and simply this identified love of food and coffee, Mike quit his corporate banking job, I made my own job remote, and we traveled to Cornwall, France, Croatia, and Italy to cook with people we love and ingredients that inspire us.
now, these adventures have led us right back to where we started, in southern Massachusetts.
Cuttings’ Table isn’t here to be another ‘check in the box’ at an event. we don’t do this just to put food on the table. we’ve created this simply, and specifically, to bring our kitchen table to you. we believe that delicious meals shared over laughter and sunsets and candlelight, make your meal last well beyond a morning brunch or evening dinner. we’re here to help you create a memory.
[For good people Series 1]

We had a fantastic first catering event!!!! Tonight we provided appetizers including homemade crackers, pimento cheese, bacon jam, pickled mustard seed, meatballs and tomato gravy, and fresh pears. Dinner was citrus salad, roasted root veggies with herb garlic butter, homemade dinner rolls, smashed garlic herb smashed potatoes, and roasted beef tenderloin. For dessert a special coconut cream pie and an extra dark chocolate devils food cake!. ❤️
