Why such so hard hitting a resting ball unlike baseball, tennis that hits a moving ball.
Golf puts a lot of different demands on the body…..the golf swing itself isn’t a movement that the body likes to do therefore biomechanical problems occur.
The rotation in the body during the swing is where the power is generated…this rotation can be restricted by problems in the hips, glutes, spine and shoulders. If these restrictions affect the rotation of the body they also affect the power that you can create!! Less power = less distance on your shots
The fluidity of this movement is also key for it not to affect your swing…restrictions in movement will mean that you have to swing the club differently therefore getting an irregular swing and inconsistent ball strike.
These issues can all be addressed with a biomechanical assessment @rjsportstherapy.
