Anyone following me have a younger brother? If so, y’all might me able to relate to this post. I’m posting the first ever bodybuilding picture of my 16 year old brother. The ambition this kid has to be better than me is insane. Little do y’all know...I rarely find myself working out with guys bigger than me... it’s this fella here who pushes me to hell and back in the gym. People ask me all the time “who critiques my posing” 9/10 times its this kid. He’s got an eye for the sport and a big heart. Look at this frame, and check back with us in the near future. He’s under my wing and I’m ensuring he only moves forward everyday. He will be a sight to see very very soon inshallah! 😉#16yearsold
There’s an important and significant difference between training ‘hard’ and training effectively; unfortunately, priority is often given to the former. Its something that almost everyone knows, but almost everyone ignores. In the last few weeks, I’ve become increasingly aware of it not just in others, but myself also.
Don’t get me wrong, training ‘hard’ is essential and certainly has its place, but if you’re just throwing weights around and not maximising metabolic stress, muscular damage or mechanical tension on every single rep, what’s the point? If you have a body goal, go get it, period.
Regarding my own training, the last few weeks have been a reminder and a wake up call. Time for revamp; no more fxcking around. 😤

One of my all-time favorites: 1948 Mr. America George Eiferman!
One thing I love about photographs from this era how the bodybuilders we're admired and celebrated. The mantra: "Women wanted them, men wanted to be them" comes from this period in time. Anytime an onlooker is captured in one of these photos, that mantra really shines through.
Bodybuilders were respected heroes, and not just to cult niche fans but to all who were witness. There were no stereotypes (outside of it being homosexual, but obviously one has nothing to do with the other), and people truly loved seeing perfectly built natural bodies.
There seemed to be a vapid sense of sportsmanship and comraderie. Sure there were bickers about someone losing a contest here and winning one there, but for the most part in photos of training, everyone is happy and in the best of moods. It's wonderful really.
Last back session in the books. Absolutely drained but as soon as we step foot in that gym, it’s game time & no fucking excuses! Heavy rows, heavy pull downs and heavy rack pulls... we ain’t slowing down!🏆 #classicbodybuilding
Maybe one of the most stunning displays of a V-Taper I have ever seen. This is Lou Degni aka actor Mark Forest. This physique is about as perfectly sculpted as humanly possible. A ton of muscle, tremdous flow and shape, and just trim enough (very important) to stay full and showcase the details. Wow. I'm literally pumped to go train after seeing this pic.
The “most muscular” pose is definitely one of the freakier looking poses. Back in the Golden Era, guys would save this pose for last in their routine— a finale of sorts! Its meant to just show the brute muscularity of the entire body. Its not pretty by any means, but it can be very impressive if pulled off properly.
Chet Yorton! The natural who beat Arnie, hitting a hands clasped most muscular at damn near 70 years old! It just goes to show, what's built naturally lasts the test of time if well maintained! A proper salute to you Chet!
Poucas pessoas entendem que me sinto bem assim...
Aquele conceito “Less is More” (menos é mais)

Some people just can't hit certain angles naturally! Posing can make a bad physique and break a good physique. I'm proof of that, I've beaten dudes with better condition, mass and proportions. purely because they couldn't showcase their hard work properly/or as well as they should. There will always be weak shots and I'd recommend you steer away from them during freeposing and routines till you can hit them better and feel more confident with them. Always showcase what you know is your best side, best arm, best shot etc.
Make it look effortless, even when you've a emptied your lungs of air and are holding a shot for 10 - 30 seconds and you might pass out? Make it look easy!!! -
Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect! -
If you can't pose, don't enter shows!

Personally, I love the physiques of the Silver Era and Golden Era. The classical guys. The silver era motivates me more because the bodies weren’t as crazy developed and most were achieved without steroids.
I’ve wanted to make a graphic like this for a while. The evolution of bodybuilding is so fascinating to me.
From a small amount of muscle, to nearly 300lbs of it, bodybuilding has had many faces and physiques. Sleek, streamlined physiques became mutant mass monsters over time.
What do you think of its evolution? And where do I fit in (if anywhere😢)?
