the mud crab and vermicelli braised in claypot is a specialty at Sydney's Golden Century restaurant. it is good enough to be a meal on its own, where crab lovers can enjoy both the seafood and its rich taste fused with the vermicelli. the bright colored shells, sprinkled with fried golden shallots makes an appealing presentation before its taste impresses.
Golden Century Chinese Seafood Restaurant is possibly Sydney’s most famous Chinese restaurant. With floor-to-ceiling glass fish tanks, this iconic dining institution offers seafood, Chinese banquets and yum cha. Lots of interesting wine and great food including XO pippies, whole red morwong and salt and pepper prawns. A few highlight wines from the evening here, the Mount Mary Chardonnay and a 1991 Lindemans St George probably best wines on the night for me, the Musar and a non-pictures 2008 Dry River Pinot weren’t right.
