As the we move into peak season time, lucky for us, all the hotels and top restaurants are launching their Sunday brunches and this one was another great one! The Sunday Brunch at the Kokum Kitchen at @tajfortaguada sure surprised me with its huge spread featuring a diverse range of cuisines. Now I’m someone who usually struggles to be brief when I talk food and hence you can imagine how difficult it must be trying to cover an entire brunch in a single post but I'll sum it up for you guys. Here are a few of my favourite appetisers from the spread: salmon mousse on a cucumber, prawn in a spiced mango sauce, Nachos with salsa and baked beans and a selection of cured meats like Milano salami, Parma ham and pepperoni. The brunch includes an entire appetizer section , a salad section , a ham & cheese section, a whole indian veg as well as non-veg main course section, an oriental veg and non veg section, a live grills counter, a live gnocchi counter, a live fried rice and noodles counter and 2, yes you heard that right, 2 dessert counters (continental and indian desserts). If that massive spread wasn't enough of a reason to make you wanna visit, get this, the alcoholic brunch package is inclusive of unlimited premium whiskey, wine, beer and cocktails and that's something I found amazing for that particular price! Not a lot of places offer high-end premium alcohol for their brunches. For more info and a detailed look into the brunch , check out my story highlights

Congrats to the team of @opedromumbai for being recognised as one of the country's best restaurants, cos they truly are just that! My looooong afternoon spent eating + drinking there was one of the best experiences of the year, which is why I'm still raving about it. A tart concoction from their bar signatures include this perfectly balanced Vasco Sour with Pisco, triple sec, Goan toddy vinegar shrub, spiced grenadine, egg white, starfruit juice and Angostura bitters.
They say a picture says a thousand words.
This picture is for my love for chocolate , a thousand words is too less 😆 so I am going to supplement it with actual words.
This is the triple layered orange and chocolate dessert @antares_goa . Chocolate fudge brownie, topped with a creamy chocolate and orange semifreddo and then a quinelle of orange sorbet along with chopped hazelnuts . Sweet, sour, crunchy, fudgy, and a variation of temperatures from a palate cleansing bright orange to a almost warm chewy fudgy brownie.
This makes it to the top three chocolate desserts in Goa for me.
The other was the chili chocolate fudge brownies @grandhyattgoa , but apparently those have stopped , so it’s their macerated strawberries cooked inside the chocolate brownies I had recently.
And the other is the Baileys icecream and the coffee liqueur brownie dessert @fortune_miramar , which also heart achingly may be stopped soon, from the last that I heard ... this post is also a huge shoutout to the chefs who come up with these creations for us to savour and celebrate in pictures.
