There’s a lot to love about what I do. Working with incredible women, being able to create my own schedule, and building incredible relationships with those that I work with are a few
easy and obvious ones. But today I’m feeling gratitude for something a little less blatant. Last week I helped with my children's end of the year celebrations at their school. I’ll never forget the unmistakable happiness in their eyes when I was introduced to a collective 6 and 7 year old's "HI Mrs. Coon!". There’s so much joy in what I do and today I am so very thankful. Here's to the beginning of summer, and the beginning of more fun and happiness with my kiddos. ☀️

👉🏻 CHANGE.... this word use to stress me out. Change freaked me out, I would resist it any chance I had. What I quickly realized change was not only inevitable, but had to occur if I wanted different things in my life. I started to embrace change and amazing things started to happen.
People resist change so much because they focus on what they have to give up rather than focusing on all the incredible things they have to GAIN! Where are you in your life resisting change?

You know what’s keeping you from reaching your goals?
CONSISTENCY, COMMITMENT and PERSEVERANCE. People often give up on their goals because they don’t see results as quickly as they thought they would.
For a long time, I thought I could never get stronger and grow muscle. I thought I would never feel confident in my body. While it may be true that it’s more difficult for me to grow muscle as fast as some other people and that it’s difficult to become confident, I was making excuses. Confidence is not something you are born with, but a skill you can LEARN and if you truly want to get stronger, you WILL.
Reality is, even though I was pushing myself in the gym and had a goal, I wasn’t eating enough in order for my muscles to grow properly and I still held onto my limiting beliefs. I was caught up in my old habits, doubted myself and to be honest, I was still afraid of eating too much and putting on some body fat as a result, even though I already knew then that you usually have to eat in a caloric surplus in order to gain muscle.
It wasn’t until I changed my MINDSET, stopped negative self-talk and overcame my self doubts, that I was finally able to MAKE CHANGES and MOVE FORWARD, closer to my goals.
The number on the scale should NEVER define who you are, it’s just a number!
If you’re not seeing results, BE PATIENT. Don’t give up just because you’ve been at it for a few weeks and haven’t started seeing results. FITNESS IS A JOURNEY, not a destination and you can continue to get better and better everyday.
Stay consistent and ENJOY the journey. Looking back at how far you’ve come can be so rewarding if you just have a little patience!

Why do your habits create your results?
According to multiple studies, 40% of your actions are NOT conscious decisions but habits. So habits are a crucial part of your life & often you don’t even notice it!
If you look at a single day of your life, many of your actions may seem insignificant..
A glass of wine before bed… 🍷
Spending your morning binging on Netflix… 💻
Take-away for lunch because you didn’t prep your meals..🍕
One extra scoop of ice-cream…🍦
1 hour spent at the gym working out..💪
One apple a day..🍎
Writing a to-do list for the following day..✏
BUT over time, your actions become HABITS. And your habits either positively or negatively IMPACT your life and results.
You don’t gain 30 pounds overnight. ☝️
Over the course of weeks, months or even years, you’ve slowly developed habits that created this outcome.
You also don’t lose 30 pounds overnight. It’s hard to shake off a habit since it takes an average of 66 days before a new habit is formed! ⚠️
You have to intentionally REPLACE you old habits with a healthier action or behavior that will yield similar rewards if you want to change your results.
Willpower is a muscle, not a skill. We all have it. But you have to strengthen it over time!
✔ Become aware of actions you take daily.
❌ Stop thinking, “one time won’t make a difference"
✔ Start viewing each small action as a piece of the bigger puzzle.
With every decision, you have an opportunity to move closer to your goals or further away.
