Squeezed between stacks of the most wonderful #parmigianoreggiano , our group is learning about the best of local food wherever we go in #Italy , visiting with small producers making food according to traditional methods. At this family-run caseificio in Parma, the @caseificiougolotti, they make 13-16 wheels per day, 365 days per year. The milk must come from cows born, raised and milked within the confines of Emilia Romagna and they must only be fed hay and grass, nothing else. The resulting #kingofcheese is creamy, delicate and sweet—a true artisan product.
Looks like we celebrated #NationalPastaDay just right over here in #Bologna : Our group spent the evening learning to make these beautiful hand-rolled tagliatelle and tortellini di zucca from the lovely chef and master sfoglina Federica Frattini at @poderesangiuliano. Everyone made perfect pasta, grazie a Federica!
A perfect day in the Langhe hills visiting castles, tasting Nebbiolo and learning how hazelnuts grow followed by an exceptional meal at @3galline in Torino to top off our stay in this gem of a city. #ediblegoesontour#edibleboston#goaheadtours
Just a small sample of Amsterdam Day 2. A lot of ground covered including Anne Frank House, Old Town, Resistance Museum, Amsterdam Mueseum, Holocaust Museum and about 12,000 plus steps and some nice grub in between. What a great little city!! #goaheadtours#amsterdam#fallgetaway
Grazie a Carlo (our expert truffle hunter guide and President of the Associazione Trifulau Colline Di Langa) and his pups Rocky and Jimmy for a wonderful morning in the chestnut-laden woods atop a hill outside Alba. We found two black truffles, one white and a few porcini-adjacent mushrooms. An unforgettable experience. #ediblegoesontour#edibleboston#goaheadtours#alba#tartufibianchi#bravojimmy
🇱🇹 During our drive through northern Lithuania today, we visited this miraculous hill of 100,000 crosses. Known as the Hill of Crosses, locals have continued to recount ancient legends, visions and even haunting tales to each generation that comes. We're told the hills exact origins remain a mystery to this day, and many individuals leave crosses in hope that their prayers will be answered.
Quite a weather change from 82 to 42 in one day. But it was a welcome change and what we had prepared for.

3-4. Umbrellas of old Quebec City were almost as cute as @themrsparsons
5-6. Old Catholic Church converted to a Circus School. I’ll let everyone else make the jokes.
7-9. Cold weather means hot coffee. I just didn’t expect mine to come in a bowl. Hello!
10. Now that’s the Perfect Poutine we’ve been hearing about. That and the fabulous flight of in-house ciders and brews. @publeprojet was just what we ordered.
