Leah is helping me make breakfast in a new muffin tin I got for Father's Day. I got a number of #fathersdaygifts from my family and enjoyed the time we spent together. Each gift that I received from my wife and our kids was so thoughtful and meant so much to me. The sign and the cast iron grill pan are a couple other gifts given to me yesterday. I sure love my kids and am thankful for the family that God gave me! Thanks @jkswieringa for marrying me 14 years ago and being the mother of our children.
Top 3 priorities of 2018
1. Use my blessings to help others in need.
2. Experience happiness as often as possible (genuinely smile)
3. Develop wisdom & grace to make the first 2 priorities more affective.
I’ve always been a spiritual over thinker but now that I have faith, nothing seems to be impossible.
My long time friends joke that my conversation transitions from superficial struggles with my unruly hair to philosophical breakdowns and hypothesis of how/why the human brain functions a certain way in a matter of seconds. 😆
However, when I take the time to evaluate my core values (like they made us do in middle school at North Star Academy @uncommonschools) I come up with the three listed above.
My entire life, I just wanted to help people but I am finally learning how to right now. 🤗
Another salad for lunch! But this time without any cheese because I'm trying to reduce my dairy intake at the moment (and I know that I'm going to @pizzaexpress_uk later with my family) 😊 ham, yellow pepper, cucumber, tomato, black pepper, olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika! 🙌🏻
