One of the most exciting, and hardest, things to do as a traveler is to figure out where you’re going next. Fortunately, I had some help from my friends over at the @FairmontCopley, who is one of a select group of AccorHotels to host an interactive installation that brings the digital Seeker experience to life for the public -- helping travelers like myself discover our unique travel profile including three dream destinations based on your metrics. How cool is that?! Swipe through to see the installation in the Fairmont Copley as well as my results. Which one of these destinations do you think I’ll head to next? Would love to hear your thoughts below.
Here’s the best part! Visit the Seeker installation in Fairmont Copley Plaza’s lobby and share a photo of your experience tagging @FairmontCopley and #SeekerProjectBoston through August 31. One lucky participant will win* a $500 gift card to their choice of either Fairmont, Raffles or Swissôtel in celebration of the @LeClubAccorHotels loyalty program newly expanding to these three @AccorHotels luxury hotel brands. *Must be enrolled in program to win. #ad#seekerproject
I had a really bad day today. Even through my impatience, snappiness and yes even the tears- I am so happy to say people are so genuinely good!.
I bit off way more than I could chew, and after summiting Mt Batur this morning I set my sights on a big detour to pura lempunyang on my way back to seminyak. Well, Google took me and my scooter way up some mountain roads that turned into boulder filled dirt tracks. I somehow managed to survive these steep, hellish turns bouyed by the smiles and shouts of hello from all the school kids walking along. Just as the road cleared up, and at a cautious speed of approx 4kms per hour- my back wheel flilped out from under me and i found my self on the ground squashed under my scooter 😣.
A sweet man literally sprinted up the hill to help me, and with no English at all, did his best to make sure I was alright. Too proud to admit defeat I said my Terima kasih maybe too forcibly before taking off down the hill. Thank you kind man, I am sorry I didnt express this more sincerely at the time 🙏.
It was a solid 10 minutes before I had the balls/felt like no one would see me pull over and inspect my wounds. Gravel rash and swelling down my knee and deeper, angrier wounds on my ankle and foot where I had been pinned down.
I gave myself a rinse and continued on, only to run into the next hurdle from google. The right turn they suggested was an actual goat trail. A GOAT TRAIL. Theres not even goats in Indo! 🤦. I continued to the North- the only actual option, and much further away from my destination than Id have liked.
When i finally made it to the main coastal road I couldve kissed the beautiful smooth bitumen surface I was SO happy.
Cue next hurdle, not realising my Indonesian data was about to run out. No data= No maps! I missed the turn off to the temple, and by the time I realised I had travelled about 45 minutes west- when i needed to travel south EAST after the temple. So not only did I miss THE ONLY REASON I WAS ON THE GOD FORSAKEN MOUNTAIN BOULDER ROAD, but I had also travelled 45 more minutes further from home.

The buildings in Belgium look like they were torn straight from a page of a fairytale ✨🧚🏼♀️
My favourite thing about moving to Europe is that it’s so much easier to see other countries and travel compared to Aus. We drove from Eindhoven to Antwerp in little over an hour, just for the day 🤗
