Visite nosso canal no YouTube www.youtube.com/channel/UCynADEzf1fq-h1t951oAepw
So something has been happening to my work lately that has taken me by surprise. And I want to share it. Sometimes it's difficult for an artist when the technique or process evolves as you might worry about the reaction from the audience who are used to seeing one type of work. But recently I had the chance to explore Paul Klee's paintings. In particular the quick sketches he did when in Tunisia. I've always loved these but just couldn't see how he arrived at them. These were a significant turning point in his own process. So I could argue that my moving to Mexico has had a similar effect on my work. This painting is part of a series of more intuitive, abstract works inspired by drawn references, memories and feelings from my time in Mexico. There is a real focus on an underlying ancient geometry which I've become quite interested in. But apart from that these paintings are much more spontaneous than usual. Here I started in ArtRage and finished in Procreate. Constructive thoughts welcome.#adamjamesbutcher
Quick painting done under the pine trees at Île Du Gaou, Côte D'Azur. Interesting how the shadows became the main focus of the painting. The light here has many qualities. Painting done with iPad Pro using the #procreate application.
Grateful to have reached the top 100 artworks selected for exhibition in the digital painting category at #mdacsummit & #mDAC17 , Palo Alto, California. Top three winners to be announced on 11th August. Good luck to all the exhibiting artists!
Here's the beginnings of a painting done from our balcony in the French Riviera. Catching the early morning light. It changes fast so will have to come back tomorrow morning to finish. Using the #ipadpro and my favourite app @procreate.
Always great to keep a visual journal. Nowadays mine is totally digital. I archived this stop-frame video of a drawing I did using Procreate. This was an early morning en plein air sketch of Tulum Town. Digging out past work is a solid way of refocusing on the creative activities I love doing the most.
