This week my body was screaming at me telling me to slow down and rest. So that’s exactly what I did 😴😴
I’ve been feeling under the weather for the past week and finally decided to take the last 2 days off to recover because i wasn’t getting any better. ——
Your fitness journey isn’t all about lifting heavy things and running really fast. It’s about learning to listen to your body and what it needs 🥰
Sleep is a beautiful thing.
But as a mom I can never seem to get enough.
Mainly because my kids will wake up for the silliest things, like their blankets being wrinkled, or they can find their cup even though they don't even want a drink. 🙄
Luckily Cedarwood put an end to that last night, two drop in their diffuser last night and they slept all night (except two tiny wake ups before midnight), which means I slept all night! 🙌
But as you can tell from this picture that does not mean I took a shower, wash my hair, or did anything else other than go to the gym. But I am about to get up and clean my house so that counts for something right?😬 #naturalCrossFitter#givemeallthesleep#sleepdoesnotequalmotivation#iwish
day 16 for inktober features my drawing of the most beautiful danganronpa edit i have ever seen, made by @rl.izuru this is the fucking best fusion ever WE STAN A FUCKING QUEEN I LOVE. iruma’s goggles, pekoyama’s hair, kork’s eyes, komaeda’s jacket, tanaka’s boots, and, of course, a very angery harukawa is top - notch perfection. this is beauty. i imagine that this could be some weird motive where it’s basically monokuma fuses all six of them together (i don’t think they would all get along well if they all met each other? there’s bound to be somebody who doesn’t like someone else) and say that either somebody else kills someone and he’ll unfuse them or they’ll end up trying to kill each other and all die as a result. also the way i imagined it is there’s six different people in one brain and a lot of them are probably fighting for control over the body. if not all of them, definitely iruma and tanaka are. tanaka is an evil hell god who definitely wants power over a body and iruma is iruma and wants to do iruma things. harukawa probably wouldn’t get involved unless they got on her nerves and she’d kill their brains (?) pekoyama would fight so that she can help certain people and that certain people wouldn’t get hurt. kork boi would just sit back and watch like “mmm humanity” and would shut his mind off in the morning (?) so that he can do whatever he wants while everyone else’s minds are asleep. komaeda would just lay in the mind trash until everyone died and then take over. either that or he’d conspire with kork. that’s bound not to end well. this probably wasn’t what i was supposed to get out of this but T H E O R I E S. also check out izuru’s instagram izuru is a good 👌. also i’m tired again good night.

But ya know what I DO love?
I LOVE the energy I get from my preworkout drink #rocketfuel & how it helps me push through my early morning sweat sesh. I LOVE getting my workout out of the way so I don’t have it hanging over my head all dang day. I LOVE the energy I create that fuels my entire day with productivity. I LOVE the alone time I get to fill my own cup before I pour into everyone else around me.
I do that. I create that energy. I fuel my body before the sun comes up so that I have the energy to make my day count. Health and fitness are important to me, so I make the time for them. I don’t have the energy to make it happen...I create the energy to make it happen.
5 minutes more sleep or a full gorgeous face of makeup??? Uhhhh give me my sleep please!!! Welp, now I don't have to make that bargain anymore as I can have my sleep and a put together face too! Peace out foundation...who needs ya!

Man, I forgot how exhausting it is to teach high school kids all day. Thankfully my job allows me to go home and relax instead of grading papers or prepping. 🤪 These are most certainly in the diffuser tonight for those good ZZZ’s tonight!

NIGHTLY ROUTINE // fill diffuser with Release + Peace & Calming, turn diffuser on, wash face/brush teeth + sleep until the diffuser is no longer running (8hr run time). That’s usually how it goes... until I go to bed super late and Charleigh wakes me up BEFORE the diffuser has run its course.. then we take a couch nap.
Me every weekend: I'm going to clean the house, finish several things on my project list, meal prep for the week, take the kids out to do something fun, etc.
Also me every weekend: Stay up til 2 am browsing the internet and binging Netflix, sleep for 10 hours, and take a mid afternoon nap? Don't mind if I do!
A beautiful skin is not just achieved by the product you use.

💦1) you need to drink plenty of water, water is used by your body to help flush out toxins. 🥦2)eat colourful food, and no I am not talking about skittles or m&ms😋 but colourful veggies and fruits full of antioxidant to protect you against skin ageing. Dark Chocolate is full of antioxidants #justsaying 😜. 🛏3)sleep enough, because when you are sleep deprived your body makes more of the stress hormone (Cortisol) that will hurt your skin quality. #givemeallthesleep 🌵4) own plants, say hello to #crazyplantlady , plants in your bedroom, living room, office will improve the air quality of your home and work as a air filter.
So eat dark chocolate, drink water, sleep more and buy plants! Sounds good to me!

So tonight I failed.....
Day 72/80, and today I chose to fail... Work has been crazy busy. The husband has been working crazy hours leaving me to fly solo with the kids. I’m sore and worn from kicking ass and taking names with my workouts. Lately even fitting them in after 10PM. I usually power through, feeling proud and strong.... ...Not tonight
Tonight my back was hurting, probably from some not so perfect form in my work out the night before. I’m tired from getting less than 6 hours of (what is lately interrupted) sleep a night. Tonight I sat down after putting the kids to bed and FAILED to get back up.
But, today is today, and tomorrow is a new day! Maybe this is my body’s way of telling me that I need to recharge. I’m not going to let it discourage me! Self care is just as important as the nutrition and fitness, and sometimes it takes a night like mine to remember that!! It happens to us all. You just cant let your perceived failures of today, ruin your successes of tomorrow! So I’ma stretch, get to bed, and wake up tomorrow ready to kick-ass all over again!! #givemeallthesleep#tiredmomma#selfcare#fitmomma#learnfromtoday
We just got back from a few days of camping at the Oregon Coast which was so fun. If you haven’t had the opportunity to explore that area - add it to your list! The PNW is truly the most beautiful part of this country and I’m so grateful to live here.
Sleep is a priority for this girl. Not sleeping and hangovers feel the same way for me. I’m exhausted, have a headache and don’t want to talk to anyone. -
At home I use a sleep roller and diffuse cedarwood throughout the night. Since we were tent camping and didn’t have electricity, I made sure to have a sleep spray to bring with me for extra support. I used the same oils that I use in my roller - Lavender, Cedarwood and Frankincense topped off with water. I sprayed this on my pillow and sleeping bag before bed.-
This was the perfect substitute for not being able to use a diffuser. Let me know if you have any other suggestions for sleeping well outside of your normal routine. #givemeallthesleep
