Speaking with friends this morning I’m considering this sense of giving back to ourselves. How do we really manage the tensions that build over a day, a week, a month? Have you ever really put #selfcare into practice and is it as big a part of your life as it should be?
It’s not about following a social media trend and an Instagram hashtag, but finding a genuine and authentic space for yourself.
I hope you find this today, take a moment, wherever that might be and just catch your breath. 💕
Sometimes in the hustle and bustle we forget to take a moment for ourselves. Whatever you call it- recharge your batteries, meditate, cat nap, breather, your softer side, quiet time... it really is important in many ways to help with all of the other important areas of life. It also can be one of the easiest to forget. What’s your relationship with it? How do you do it? In what ways do you give back to yourself so you can keep going? This morning’s Pilates class had us all checking in with each other to see if we are all OK.
Take care of yourself first, your wellbeing should be your number 1 priority. You can’t keep giving to everyone else and not giving back to yourself, you will lose if you don’t.
When it all gets too much, go for a walk, sit in the sun and have a cuppa, take a nanna nap or talk to a friend. Notice how much calmer you are afterwards, regroup and then take one step at a time.
Be there for yourself, treat yourself with kindness and listen to your body’s signals to rest and recoup. 💐
Taking time out has been the best thing!
Don’t get too caught up in all the hype in thinking you have to be on social media 24/7 to grow your business.
Listen to your self, make a plan and give to your self what you need for your soul to grow.
To the women out there who want to work on themselves for themselves. 🙌 For those who want to give back to yourself. 💫 For those who have been on the struggle bus, can't find the motivation and keep saying next month I will start, let's chat. 💞 •

🦋Where are all my Mama's sending kids off to campus-living away from home?
I know! 😪 I live that too! My youngest is going into year 3 and it's a little easier this year and a piece of my heart is missing until he comes home everytime. .
I am lucky , he is close by in Waterloo. He comes home just enough to keep his growing independence and his family happy! <3
It's a huge transition and a great opportunity for growth and developing trust in how we prepared them for this journey. .
It gave me a little bit more "me" time too that I learned to embrace fully. Take on some challenges and make some changes 💪

Happy Wednesday my loves! It’s mid week, I’m feeling good, have achieved lots so far, it’s an awesome week and I’m really grateful for it! I feel like mid week is a good time to touch base with yourself though. I’ve spoken to two amazing, strong women this week who are worn out, tired and at their wits ends. Today is a good day to check in with yourself and make sure you are making time for you. It’s doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming. It could be as simple as a manicure, a long hot soak in the tub, watching a movie, reading a book, the gym, enrolling in a class WHATEVER as long as it is something that is “you” time. We live in a society where people who make time for themselves are judged as selfish, spoilt, over indulged - I could go on! That is totally not the case. If you’re reading this today, write down the things you’d love to do for you and make them a priority! Felt so great to workout this morning. Not every day feels like this but today was good to lift heavy and feel like my arms were going to fall off😂
I was listening to a book this morning while making breakfast and this one big take away that stuck with me...
“If you’re not giving back to yourself, who will? Where is the percentage that’s nurturing you? Who’s supporting your journey, helping you grow stronger. If you’re not finding time for that. Your clock is going to wind down.”
Such a great reminder that we need to take care of ourselves every single day. It’s not about the number on the scale and seeing it go down. It’s about feeding, nurturing our bodies physically and mentally. Surrounding ourselves with positive people. That’s why i love being part of a community that lifts each other up. We support one another daily. Learning to love ourselves so we can be kind and loving to others in our life.

Last night was the Victorian @aipp_official print critique night. The national award are in a few weeks and this is the place where photographers bring their work to get idea and tips to make their images award ready.

Only you can love you the most! Only you can make yourself the happiest you can ever feel.. you don't need approval to buy yourself flowers or take yourself on a holiday or get that piece of art 😉 that is a reward for just giving back to you for a change! Self love is very important. By becoming whole and content in yourself, with yourself, and making you who you really want to be.. no one can make you feel any less.. In fact everything else that's good, even just a little bit, is icing on the cake. Give yourself the soul food you require to nourish yourself.
