Posting this because I felt cute when taking this and today was a day and it went from bad to worse, so I needed some positive vibes. Another way I cope too is calling my mom and venting. Keeping things bottled up is super unhealthy and becomes toxic quickly. I count my blessings every day that I have my mom to go to when I feel like I have no one who will listen. Keep those who will listen and support you with open ears and open heart close they are the ones that make every day worth it! ❤️❤️
#5months post show versus 1 week post show. .
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of talk and praise for those who can stay within 10 lbs of their stage weight which is awesome if your body can grow with minimal weight gain but that is not the case for everyone. I can vouch for myself that I’ve done my reverse correctly, been consistent with tracking my macros, hitting my cardio/training sessions hard and yet I have not been able to stay within 10lbs of my stage weight and most likely nor will I ever be able to. Though I wish I could, it is not ideal for me. .
•Our goal this improvement season was to grow without adding an excessive amount of body fat ( I say this repetitively because you can fall off track very easily and put on massive amounts of body fat in a short period of time🙅♀️). .
•I think we have done what we set out to do with my weight mostly (moderate level of body fat) reflecting the additional muscle I have added to my frame.
In light of all that I have said, once again I have to point out that evaluation through pictures/ videos can be an effective measurement of progress. I probably never will be someone who stays within 10lbs of my stage weight and I am okay with that. I want my hormones to function properly, I want to be able to have children, I don’t want to think of food 24/7, and I don’t want to destroy my metabolism by putting my body under stressful conditions for far to long. Yet, I still want to look strong and have a moderate to lower level of body fat. With proper guidance you can restore your health and grow properly post show. .
• @whitneyjones_ifbbpro took another approach with me this I.S. instead of focusing on the 10lb stage weight limit and stressing her athlete out to the max (because she knows I am TYPE A personality) she was more concerned about how my physique looked weekly. & if I were to fall off track she would of tightened the reigns however we stood the course and soon I’ll be back into prep mode. No pain, No gain!!
This time of year really amplifies your financial situation doesn’t it? If you’re already living pay check to paycheck, trying to squeeze in presents for Christmas can be incredibly challenging. There is so much pressure to buy all the things for your family (thanks to the commercialization of this holiday)… and if you don’t have the means to do that- it can be very stressful and depressing.
I know money doesn’t buy happiness — but I do think it provides options. It provides freedom. And I know lack of it and debt causes a butt load of unhappiness, lack of control, stress, and worry — and honestly- life doesn’t have to be like that! And it shouldn’t.
But You DO have options. There are things you can do so next year doesn’t have to send you into debt just so you can buy your family presents.
What could an extra $300, $500, $1500, a month do for your family? it could pay for christimas right? That’s what a lot of women on my team that do what I do part time make each month. Do I have your attention yet? BUT its not for the lazy. We work hard. But we are changing our family’s future with the work we do today.

Finally my Orange Theory 🍊 review. I left with bruises on my butt cheeks, not from the workout. I flew off the rower which I’m told means I’m doing it right 😅.
The class was as expected KICKASS 👊🏼. If you’ve been here for awhile you know I love high intensity weighed workouts. At the beginning of class you’re given a heart rate monitor which you watch on a TV screen through the entire workout. It changes colors with the heart rate zone you’re in. Red being the highest green the lowest (your walk or light jog). Guess where mine was 90% of the workout RED 🔴. We had the option to begin either with the weighted circuit or treadmill, I always choose cardio first so treadmill it was. We were here half the class running intervals. Then we switched to the weight circuit with the rowers for the other half of class.
Not every class is set up like this sometimes you’ll be on the rower first and the moves change.
I liked that it wasn’t a follow the leader type class and you could make it harder or easier depending on your fitness level. The playlist was LIT 🔥 which kept me going and well having a camera in your face will make you push a little harder 😉📸. I definitely recommend trying an Orange Theory class it’s an awesome workout!! I burned like 800 calories 🤭.

I have a feeling you can add a lot to what you’ve accomplished. CELEBRATE!!! Pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself!
