I can't believe that it's exactly two months today until I'm 25, where has the time gone? I remember when 25 seemed so far away. Am I ready for it? To be honest, I don't know, but I know that I have spent this year trying to transform into a better person, in more ways than one.
I've flirted with the idea of being fit and healthy on and off, but always thought if the results don't show within a week then why bother? I've been going through my Twitter feed (always a fun read) and found 16 year old me ecstatic that I was 57kg - my goal was always 55kg. If I were 55kg now, I wouldn't be able to do what I do.
I'm dedicating more time to my health now. I'm meal prepping when before I would complain that it was just extra cooking. I'm drinking so much water I lose count of how often I go to the bathroom. I've finally found a PT that I love working out with, and my pole progress is stronger than ever because I focus on the overall challenge rather than challenging moments and I'm getting back into running because I want to spend more time outside.
Am I more bulky when once I thought I could only be fit if I was lean? Yep. Do my abs stand out when I sit down? Absolutely not, look at the photo. But I'm feeling better from the inside out, when before I wanted to feel good from the outside in, and I'll continue to transform myself as long as it continues to feel good.

How often do you focus on just chilling out, rest, recovery? I know it’s a weakness for many of us that are always feeling “more movement is better” ! The workouts you don’t want to do are usually the most important ones🤯
Today I felt cruddy. There’s no other way to put it. Finally all the missed workouts and extra calories (ahem cookies 🍪) caught up to me and I didn’t just want but I NEEDED to workout. Got to the gym and wanted to be anywhere but there. But I put my head down and turned up my music and made it through (while trying to talk myself out of it the entire time). I have people ask me all the time “wow you’re so busy. Why don’t you just skip the gym tonight?” And sometimes I do (like the past month really) so when I can get them in I get er done💪🏽
So my daughter threw a volleyball at my head in Miami (unintentionally). It has taken me OUT. Headaches and crippling nausea. I'm getting good care at @dr._jeremy_schmoe_dc_dacnb but it's soooo frustrating. I'll try to get some posts up again soon. Love you all 💜
How often have you started something, then quit a month later? A week later? Even a few DAYS later?! You’re only setting yourself further back when you QUIT instead of pushing through to reach your goals!
If you have a goal in mind, write it down and write down the REASON for that goal. I want to X by Y date because Z. “I want to lose 10 pounds by June 1st because that will make me feel confident in my swimsuit on my vacation.” Great, WRITE IT DOWN! And when those days come around where you start working out just 3 days/week, then maybe 1 day/week, then you can’t even find your gym key because you haven’t used it in weeks... remind yourself of your REASON and get up. Get up and get right back to it 👊
