found a cute little cave at red rock canyon today! pushed myself so much during this hike and i’m so proud! i’m a quitter at most things (its a bad quality) but if i’m really determined, i’ll get it done. kai and i hiked in the lowest parts and reached pretty big peeks! now, time for a nice relaxing shower and a foot massage ☺️💛

I’ve spent years trying to fit this “perfect” mold.
24 years to be exact.
Started in middle school when I transferred schools and didn’t fit in with the rest of the kids.
When I was bullied for being tall and overweight.
I wasn’t petite or “small” and “cute” like the other girls.
I wasn’t accepted.
And that has hung over my head for a majority of my life.
Now I have a message for YOU -
Even though it sounds cliche AF
Be who YOU are.
Be unique. Authentic.
Don’t take shit from no one.
Flaunt your “flaws”.
Stand up for yourself. Love yourself when no one else will.
Learn this lesson NOW and you may be able to avoid the pain and the heart break in the future like I went through.

What a world we’d live in if people could understand others’ pain and suffering. Depression drains a person’s energy, optimism, and motivation. It makes someone lash out in anger and irritability because that’s the only way they feel they can communicate. I work out and eat healthy. Some days I can’t get out of bed; other days I eat like I haven’t had food in months. I’ve shared this before and I like sharing pictures of my “good” days, not of my every day life. This is real life to me. It’s so easy to hide behind a facade, but I’ll be damned if I stop talking about the illness I have. #endthestigma
Every day is a new opportunity to try again. 🖤 why the scale doesn’t matter 💙
In May I felt like I was stalling, and over the last 3 or so weeks my appetite has increased significantly. Normally that would be terrifying but I trust my body knows what it needs and I listened to it. 💙
I have been eating significantly more food (still keto/carnivore very little fasting if at all) resulting in weight gain. (Same amount of exercise) 💙
In the past, weight gain would have been terrifying to me! This time around, I trusted my body and today decided to compare some pictures and see what has happened. Waist and hips smaller, legs leaner, and fitting so comfortably in size 8 jeans now that I’m ready to try on size 6! 💙
I’m very pleased with my results! Just posting here as a simple reminder to ignore the numbers on the scale and listen to your body!
