#Lugano : Where every scene could be a painting. 🌲
Today, another adventure with @globalgreeternetwork! Lugano Greeter David took me to his must-see places around town. From high hills to sandy lake beaches, we had sunny weather and a very fun cultural exchange of conversation. He even guided me through my Swiss grocery shopping trip! 😂 I love experiencing cities through #GlobalGreeters .

I started a blog over a year ago… and since then everything has changed!
When I started it, I wanted to blog about my travels for friends and family… but secretly I wanted to make a career at it. I mean c’mon location independence, and traveling whenever… who doesn’t want that?!
Anyways so I started my blog and guess what happened.. nothing. I didn’t make any money with it.
But, I didn’t give up. I went to teach English in Thailand and I came across a community of people online doing exactly what I wanted to do.
I got into the right training and mentorship and I finally knew how to make money from my blog & social media.
And now I earn a sustainable income online.
So if you’re new to the online world or you’ve tried in the past and it just hasn’t been working for you, I have a free ebook for you to help ya get started! I’d grab it quick, because I’m not sure how long I’ll keep it up (: @oddandabroad
❣️ #mascaranacara

This one goes out to the human who invented blanket scarves 🧣
I made a deal with myself this morning. Creative writing now; leaf peeping later. Usually my priorities are the other way around, with outside time coming first while the sun is up. Creativity is left to fill in the in between time. I'm sure you can imagine how successful that method has been.
I recently finished reading @elizabeth_gilbert_writer's Big Magic and fell in love with the idea that inspiration has a mind of its own—coming to those who make room for it. So today, I've set up the perfect cozy space and invited my friend Inspiration to join me. There's cinnamon and clove potpourri on the stove, a roaring fire with a snoozy pup nearby, a pot of tea and blanket scarves for us both. Perhaps we will spend the day writing freely and giggling to each other over our next grand idea. Or maybe we will just end up feeling cozy and festive with no words on the page. Either way, tomorrow will be reserved for leaf peeping, because, to me, the act of leaving time and space for creativity is a step in the right direction.
How do you carve our space for creativity in your life? I'm not the only one who thrives when a little self-bribery is involved, right?
"Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. The journey changes you. It leaves marks on your memory and on your heart. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind."
When did I get so lucky? 😍
I can't believe the woman of my dreams has become the woman of my life, my reason to smile.👯 My best friend, my business partner, my safe shelter in the lows and my best company in the highs. .
Happy is conquering this world by your side ❤🌍
Balance is a tricky thing. Sometimes you feel on top of the world and everything is amazing, other times you feel like life bitch slapped you and everything sucks. I find it so hard to find a middle ground, when I see one thing as bad suddenly *everything* becomes bad. I'm such a micromanager that when one thing doesn't go as planned suddenly it all feels ruined. I've been trying to remind myself though that not everything is going to be 100% all the time, and that's okay.
Growing up, I remember, making this list of all the places I wanted to see, all the countries I wanted to visit and all of the streets I wanted to explore on foot. I'm guilty, I admit, of even telling people, I wouldn't want to visit the same place twice because theres Soo much to see and such little time. Many years later, while I still want to travel, something has changed, I don't necessarily want to book a flight to someplace new but I find myself drawn to a few places that I can call 'home'. No prizes for guessing which places I end up revisiting but I'd love to know yours.
Do you feel like this too? Lemme know 👇#wanderingforwellness#wabisabi photo @virkullar @mouilleswimwear
P.S - reposting this photo because it transports me to a beautiful day when I was almost giddy because I had found another place that started to feel like home 💕
🌎Unbound x Iceland⠀
Iceland has been filling many insta feeds for the last two years, but there’s still a few off-the-beaten-path jewels to be discovered. Although, I would say the on-the-beaten-path areas are just as breathtaking. Below are a few recs to mix up your Iceland adventure. ⠀
📍Víknaslóðir Hiking Trails: The far East of Iceland, the area around Borgarfjörður Eystri (where the gem of a music festival – Bræðslan - is held each July) holds one of Iceland’s best hiking areas. ⠀
📍Þakgil Camping Ground: Þakgil, Roof Canyon, is a gorgeous camping ground in the south of Iceland. ⠀
📍Hornstrandir Nature Reserve: The most inaccessible part of Iceland is Hornstrandir, the Northernmost tip of the Westfjords. There are no roads leading there, so you can either hike for a week from the end of the road, near Krossnes, to get there (another week to get back) or take a boat from Ísafjörður.⠀
📍Stakkholtsgjá Canyon: Close to Þórsmörk is this stunning canyon and if you hike it for about 2 hours you’ll reach a waterfall deep inside it.⠀
📍Kjölur Road: In summertime, when the highland roads have been opened, it’s a good idea to drive the road named Kjölur (only for 4WD!) On the way you can either make a stop at Kerlingarfjöll (Hag’s Mountains) or Hveravellir (Hot Spring Fields) – or both.⠀
