With a few notable exceptions gin doesn’t get me as excited as Scotch, rye, or bourbon. This is one of the ones that does excite me. From the House of Bruichladdich (Ima call it that) this gin is distilled on Islay largeley from botanicals picked on Islay, including Islay juniper. It’s a non-floral, herbal gin. I’m not in love with juniper-forward styles. If that style floats your boat, this may be light for you. But if you who think you don’t like gin, give this a try — alone, without any mixers. (And for those of you who disparage non-juniper forward gin drinkers as “vodka drinkers:” relax, it’s all going to be ok.)

Ruby Gin Gimlet
2 oz Gin
1.5 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
.5 oz Simple Syrup
.5 oz Lime Juice
1. Add mint leaves, lime juice and simple syrup to a shaker. Muddle the mint to extract the flavors. Add the gin and ruby grapefruit juice. Shake with ice until shaker is chilled.
2. Strain into your serving glass. Garnish with a mint sprig. Enjoy Responsibly~

I really like gin. In fact, it’s the only type of flavored vodka I’m willing to drink. And when it comes to gin, few are as nice as @deathsdoorspirits Gin. The thing I love most about Death’s Door is the fact that they don’t fuss around with a bunch of extra ingredients. Just juniper, fennel, & coriander. And the amazing thing is, each one of those ingredients stands out perfectly. Though it’s perfect in a G&T or something big and herby like a Last Word, this stuff really shines in a martini with nothing more than a twist of lemon & a splash of vermouth. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle or two. Cheers! 🍸
The Luxury Network Australia recently hosted an intimate Distillery Tour and Gin Blending Masterclass at the Award winning Archie Rose Distillery Co.
Guests were treated to a behind the scenes look at the Rosebery distillery along with an entertaining story on the history of Gin, followed by a hands on Gin Blending Masterclass where all guests were able to tailor their own blend.
