This keeps the mind and body constantly engaged and avoids complacency or training plateaus. I’ve been on the struggle bus due to the pain and I’ve been feeling like quitting!

Quitting my own healthy journey. Quitting coaching others. Just plain quitting!

This morning, after a good nights sleep and waking with zero pain, I listened to the Ignite Fitness Tribe call from last night. And it has FIRED ME UP! It has given me all the feels to get back in the game! •
I ain’t no quitter!

Why I share? Because I believe strongly that y’all need to hear I’m human. I love working out and I love coaching and I love riding my horse and I love to sing. But. I am struggling with all of it right now. But that’s on me. I need to dig deep and pull myself out of the funk!

Gotta dig deep. Gotta create my own plan since things ain’t working right now. But. It is on me to change the plan to make it work. Change the mindset to work toward the goal!
•
The goal doesn’t change. Only the path to get there!
•
Change the plan peeps. Never quit in the goal!

In the past I would spend hours in the gym, on the elliptical etc. it wasn’t until I started #t25 and #max30 that I saw results and in a much shorter amount of time than grueling hours of disappointment at the gym. These two workout programs did much more for me than help with my #Beachbody, they completely changed the shape of my body and alleviated my back pain. Thank you @beachbody and @shaunt for changing the course of my physical and mental health.

I feel like sometimes we over complicate this whole healthy living thing. It’s not complicated!! It takes three simple things:
-
1. MOVE your body. Whether that’s a walk, playing a sport, following a fitness program, lifting weights, dancing, anything active. Find something you enjoy that gets your heart rate up and do it 3-5 times a week.

2. Skip the fried stuff and the drive thrus a few more times than you currently are and have some veggies, protein, and whole grain carbs instead. Then progress from there.

3. Be patient. Change is hard in the beginning, you won’t want to make the sacrifices everyday, but give it a few weeks or months and it’ll become second nature just like your current routine did.

Baby steps, people. Baby steps. And if you want a little more structure and one on one guidance along the way, my groups are always open! 💌
