Grief Recovery and sports. Please understand that grief is about loss and loss of support as well. Many times we lose people who are our biggest supporters and are expected to perform as "normal or peak".Please understand that athletes can be allowed to feel what they feel after the natural high comes down. Saying an intellectual comment" he would have been proud of you" does not make the grief go away. So let's continue to change the narrative when it comes to grief recovery and cheers to my team for helping get back out there and compete on a larger scale.
