My post-op routine has had quite some changes compared to how I used to train on a daily basis before. I haven’t been able to do lower body for about 2 months now so it has just been upper body with minimal weight. As I was healing and taking it slow while being super cautious at the gym, I found the beauty of how I felt after I foam rolled on a regular basis. Since I was getting slowly into lifting again, my body would get really sore and I wasn’t accustomed to it after not feeling that for a while so I tried to check out my options of avoiding that
Foam rolling is good for relieving muscle tension, alleviate pain or soreness that you get after your workout. It’s really good for your blood flow and circulation as well.
It’s amazing for you and it’s something you should do everyday whether you’re active or not. Parts of my body that I’ve worked on here -calves
-IT band -quadriceps
Try it at home after work if you’re feeling like your body feels tight
Try it after your workout sessions to help with blood circulation .
Try it anyway just to feel the difference as it’s literally giving yourself a massage that’s extremely useful ✅ .
It’s really difficult for me to post this. I’m pretty embarrassed. This isn’t your typical “before/after” progress pic; this is an “after/before” regress pic.
What a difference a year can make. Over the past twelve months I’ve had three different careers, started working from home, moved to a different city, gone through a bad breakup, and had my life flip on its head more times than I can count. I struggle with depression and at times things can get very, very dark.
It’s been a whirlwind of a year, and I’ve also had a lot of success during that time (I’ve published five books since January), but one of the things that fell by the wayside was my health and fitness. I feel and look like crap.
I’m getting back on track. It’s day two of GoingKeto, and I’m gonna get there. I want to look and feel good in my skin again; to be comfortable with who I am; to have the health that will allow me to enjoy many, many more years with my kids. I won’t stop until I get there.
I’m not perfect... far from it.
I started this new program 11 days ago. I’d done it before with fab results and here we go again! 🎉Down 5.5 lbs in 11 days!! 🎉
Last weekend I indulged in popcorn and chocolate and wine. Most days I’m over my allotted containers in one way or another. Yesterday’s tracker shows I missed a half a fruit and ate an extra carb, an extra veggie, and an extra two tsps fat (aka peanut butter). And yet this morning I still woke up to a major loss on the scale! 👌🏼 Now I know the scale isn’t everything. But when my pants feel looser and my energy is up, I know I’m on the right track! Boom! 💥

I don’t bite. It’s not for everyone and I’m no about to pressure you. It’s what’s working for me and I want to share that with those who it can help too.
Next group starts in two weeks! You In?!
In this last year I have worked hard to get back into shape. 💪🏽👊🏽Lemme tell ya, it has not been easy but with the help and support from others and the trainers at Hopi Wellness Center, I am slowly making progress. It is so easy to make excuses, especially with a busy schedule but I am doing it.😁
Day 15: I am grateful for the encouragement and support from everyone with my fitness goals. 💪🏽🏃🏽♀️

Taking s break from exercise is excruciating, but the feeling of the workout after a break is spectacular! Nothing's more refreshing after a workout than a glass of freshly blended pomegranate juice with a hint of lemon!
