The Palacio Real de Madrid or the Royal Palace of Madrid was built in 1735 after the Alcázar of the Habsburgs was destroyed by a fire in 1734. It is not the official residence of the King of Spain, but it is where state ceremonies, official banquets and other state functions are held. When you tour the grounds of the palace you can visit the armory, the palace, and the kitchens.
I don't know why I've been thinking back a lot about previous adventures lately and get chills every time... Maybe because I'm still fascinated by those places and cultures. Or maybe because I miss that feeling of freedom and leaving everything behind... The feeling of experiencing new cultures, meeting new people on the road and facing new challenges... || #jodhpur#anindiannamedriadh#india
There are some people that get the best of you. You like yourself in their company, and all you feel is peace and serenity when you are next to them.
When I travel, I love learning and observing, analyzing the people and capturing places in my mind (and in my camera!). But after few days I start to miss my bed, my shower and my meals. However, in Australia I found that peace and serenity that you only find with certain persons. It didn't matter that I was sleeping in horrible beds in backpacker hostels, or in a camper van; I couldn't think of a better place in the world to be right now. Australia gets my best version and made me feel at home, and I can't wait to be back💙.
