اوتیسم شرایطی است که طی آن مغز تحت تاثیر قرار می گیرد و تعادل ارتباط با سایر افراد برای فرد به سختی صورت می گیرد.

دلیل بروز اوتیسم هنوز برای محققان شناخته شده نیست. البته، ژنتیک ، تفاوت آناتومی مغز و مواد سمی محیطی از جمله عوامل تاثیر گذار در بروز این بیماری هستند.

چگونه ایده ی تاثیر واکسن در بروز اوتیسم بوجود آمد؟

اولین بار در سال ١٩٩٨ در مطالعه ای پیشنهاد شد که واکسن سه گانه می تواند باعث بروز اوتیسم در افراد شود. البته در بسیاری از مطالعات بعدی نتایج نشان دادند که هیچ ارتباطی بین واکسن و ابتلا به اوتیسم در انسان وجود ندارد. 
این درحالیست که بعدها متوجه شدند که مطالعه ی منتشر شده در سال 1998 یک دروغ بوده و پزشک مسئول ان تیم تحقیقاتی از کار بر کنار شد. 
بهمین دلیل بخاطر داشته باشید که در برخی موارد بدن کودکان دچار واکنش هایی پس از تلقیح واکسن می شوند، که این عکس العمل ها بسیار خفیف هستند و شامل یک تب خفیف و یا راش پوستی می باشد.
