I’m about to share with you an unbelievable secret – singing is easy. While the process of learning how to sing is often a confusing and frustrating one, the act of singing itself is a very simple and easy process which can be summed up in one single word – balance. #1 – Singing is easy

This is called ZERO MOTIVATION.
Truth be told, I had zero motivation to train this evening. Wednesday is one of my two-a-days days—I do HIIT in the morning, followed by weight training in the evening, featuring a variation of ‘pull’ exercises and sets.
It’s been a LOOOOONNNNGGGG week a hurricane, the birth of my daughter, my first Army National Guard RSP Drill, the cancellation of my current work project, and a lack of rest. I had NO motivation whatsoever to get this extra session in tonight.
Hence, the internal war began. It would have been so easy to justify the skip—the hard week, the lack of rest, the fact that I had already trained today.
BUT NO. It is in these moments of internal war that DISCIPLINE rises above all. DISCIPLINE shuts up the excuses and drives the man forward. DISCIPLINE ignores the feelings and emotions, manifesting itself in the art of DOING.
And that’s just what I did. I laced up my shoes, went to the Forge, and I got after it. It didn’t matter how I felt or what I did or did not want to do. As I said, the motivation was not there. Yet DISCIPLINE changed it all. And for the record, it does equal freedom!

#1 : What are your current goals (in business & fitness)? "To be consistent, and present - this applies to both spheres. I see goals more as signposts that may keep shifting, but I would hope (!) to keep this frame of mind even through a ridiculously grind wod or when the coffees don’t pay the bills."
#2 : How do you keep the cafe running and still make time for your fitness? "Build a system at the cafe that is self-sustaining. In any case, it’s never a chore (unless hungover) to be at the gym - it’s my happy place and the CFTP community has been so incredibly supportive :) I guess it also helps that the cafe is ten minutes away from the gym.. 😜”
#3 : How did your passion for coffee started? And when did your idea of opening a cafe started? "I used to make fun at tasting notes on bags of beans telling me that I should be tasting Christmas spice or tropical fruits blah blah until I had a beautiful cup of ☕️ at Market Lane Coffee in Melbourne which changed my mind. This was ten years ago (and the coffee shop dream started then too) and now I’m just very happy I get to learn more about what I love everyday through tasting, thinking about what I taste and talking to customers about it."
#4 : What's your favourite coffee bean? "A nice, bright Colombian espresso. 💯👌🏽”

Sprints. Those sucked and they took a lot of energy from me.
I was short on time so I decided to do a an #amrap type thing. 15 Kettlebell swings+ 10+ double unders unbroken + 15 ab mat situps. The goal was to not take any rest, but I ended up taking 10-15 seconds a few times. I recorded the last set. Time lapse is hilarious! But I still finished 👌🏽
