I’m back in Italy for a few days and it feel sooooooo good! Korrie and I were here just last year hosting a retreat. The thing that strikes me the most about this country is the hospitality of these wonderful people. I’m staying in a small mountain village where English is few and far between. Hand signals and a couple of butchered Italian words is more than enough to get by. Since arriving last night Marco (the owner) has given me his guitar (seen in the photo) all because I said I like to play, shown me around his village and gave me a basket of cherries from his tree, dropped me off to the restaurant in the neighbouring village AND even offered to pay for my meal.
Now, he is taking me to one of his favourite hiking spots where he suggests I take a plunge in the ice cold river to cool off. This man and this village is a gem! I can’t wait to come back to show @korriee2 around! #italy#mountains#guitar
