Except the pastel colours which were supposed to be rich green and red, I’m pretty satisfied with the result of these little happy friends called gingerbreadmen, gingerbreadwomen, gingerbreadkids and christmascookies (on the left). I baked them a slightly bit different/shorter than usual and used almond flour(fiftyfifty) too.
Obviously they’ve turned out moist and delicious. Have a nice advent-sunday with lots of food and cookies 🍪🍊✨🕯🕯🕯🌲

Tradition >> It’s funny, really, isn’t it; the way even small things can have great meaning when done repetitively and with intention? Tonight Jakob and I sat across the table from two couples we’ve come to know through Rooted Table dinners this year, and my heart couldn’t help but be full as we chatted about everything from holiday traditions to families to travel to God and religion. I’m learning so much about the power of simply being present with others, and enjoying seeing how absolutely beautiful these people around me are as I get to know them more and more. But as for tonight, @broderost made it so easy to come together around the table as we picked our way through their Julbord buffet. The surprise standout for me was their pickled herring in tarragon cream sauce; it basically rocked my tastebuds and I’m pretty sure I’m never going to be able to make a pickled herring to top it. 📷 by @jessicapowellphoto

The creamy rich & thick broth gets the thumbs up from me but the toppings was not good enough. Could be better with more meat slice & bigger prawns though. .
Tried their Prawn Mee, it's decent but the best bet & must try have to be the Siam Laksa. 😋😋😋
