Yesterday was my last day training clients at rockwellbarbell and now all that’s left is coaching my athletes at tomorrow’s meet. When my lease ends July 31, I am going straight to Germany for 10 days. When I get back from Germany, I will be heading to Long Beach, California and making it my new home. I am currently working on updating my website and business plans for my personal training at southbaystrengthco and online business (more to come on that next week). Thank you rockwellbarbell for being my Chicago family. Let’s kill shit tomorrow. ⛓ #rockwellsfinest#family#girlswhopowerlift#gasstationready#timeoutalley#pigqueen braids_by_christy #seeyalater#residentpsycho#notcrying
This is interesting to me. I really wanted to work in this industry specifically for this company @getfilld that actually has an Instagram account not @yoshisgas or @gasyoshi_ just apparently @startyoshi #keepmoving because that makes sense. Anywayz paid journalism? @getfilld got my attention mostly because they offered an opportunity. This is in a list of jobs/industries that I've been allowed to just barely peek my head in as far as working in. Totally qualified I somehow didn't get to work for @getfilld I really thought I wanted to work for them. The whole concept intrigues me&was interested in meeting&interacting with those consumers and providers. Anyway while thinking to myself why is that while listening to Americas First news the only company they're mentioning is @startyoshi when I know there's others at least worth a mention. I remembered this guy @infogur.us as it was one of the strangest in RL meetings I've ever had. I was sooo stoned at my local cafe when this gentleman began talking with me. I couldn't tell if I was being paranoid or just high asf because he was talking to me like he thought he knew me. And not in a threatening way, just like he seemed to know things but things that I know you could only think you know. So as high as I was I've never forgotten. Facts are I'm a reporters dream. The amount of factual, independently verifiable news worthy events that have and continue to happen, like right now still relevant and just as news worthy, events and situations I've lived through is overwhelming. No one news story would cover all of it, i don't think. Anyway I could be wrong about @infogur.us & it was what it was, a long time spent talking to someone, it seeming as if they'd be totally qualified to help me in some way and then... forgetting that I live in a tourist area I thought he lived in the nieghborhood, only reason we exchanged Instagram info, also he sounded like he could help with the legal issues concerning my daughters safety. But then I realize he was staying at a hotel, hmmm. So crazy talk. #swenyando_thereposts#swenyandomemes#swenyandomemior .

This weekend I got a special training session in. This is at my old stomping grounds at the high school weight room in Whiting Iowa. This is where my lifting journey began with a small and bare bones facility and with the one and only John “Woody” Webster in my corner. My first training experiences were with John exactly 10 years ago before my sophomore year. He used his experiences as a seasoned power lifter in the 80’s and 90’s to build my understanding and discipline of strength training. It felt great to get some valuable coaching from him again. Although I was feeling worn out, I was able to work triples with 495 on deads 😄 followed by back and hamstring accessories, and yes I totally didn’t realize he was going for a high five at the end 😅
Regrann from @jailhousestrong - Straight the horses mouth! @drsquat1
Let's assume that you're going to do 5 sets of 5 reps in the squat using the conventional method of moving the weight. That is, push hard out of the hole, and ease up as your leverage improves throughout the upward movement.
First Set: The bottom of the last rep in the first set is tough enough to be considered adequate overload to force an adaptive response. The preliminary four squats were not sufficiently intense to force an adaptive response.
Second Set: Ditto the First Set.
Third Set: The bottom half of the last two reps are now tough enough.
Fourth Set: The bottom half of the last three reps are now tough enough to force an adaptive response. You're getting fatigued.
Fifth Set: Ditto the Fourth Set.
The Mathematics: You've achieved overload stress sufficient to force an adaptive response in only ten halves of the 25 squats performed, an efficiency rating of only 20 percent.
Now let's assume that you're going to push as hard as you can against the bottom of the bar every inch of the way upwards out of the hole to a nearly erect position (stopping the acceleration sufficiently before lockout so as to avoid ballistically throwing the bar off your shoulders
The Mathematics: You've succeeded in achieving overload stress sufficient to force an adaptive response in every single squat yuou performed, every inch of the way. Your efficiency rating is now nearly 100 percent.
You will now accomplish in 1 year what used to take five years to accomplish. ...in 1 month what used to take five months... ...in 1 workout what used to take five workouts.. ...in 1 set what it used to take five sets.

Dead’s - 810 & 832
Last heavy dead’s session. Didn’t have a lot of energy going into this session, but sometimes things just happen especially if you take the pressure off. The work has been getting done so the pay outs are being seen. 810 flew. Matched my PR, but this was cleaner and way faster. 832 was next. Came up just as fast off the floor, just felt my hand start tearing around knee level, tried to keep pulling. Got it at lock out, but couldn’t hold on to it after that. My deadlift has been dragging ass compared to my other lifts so to see some progress on it has definitely boosted the confidence in them and in our game plan for the meet. 2 weeks out. Time to get the mind right. —————————————————————
