Hands down, my favorite to grow is the tomato. There are just SO MANY beautiful varieties and they provide such versatile fruits that are WAY more tasty and nutritious than store bought ones. Do you agree? What are your favorite varieties to grow?
Here are the Black Beauty, Oda Peppers, and Blue Gold Berries.

“How to Plan a Low-Cost Vegetable Garden” https://youtu.be/z-Zi3iehRxY
This is a link to one of my favorite YouTube channels, and I’m posting it to encourage you to garden as a way to save money, eat nutritionally, get great exercise, and build memories with your loved ones.
If your budget is an issue, like mine was when I moved 3 1/2 years ago and had a lot of work to do on the house AND the yard, do what I did - start small and keep at it. Soon, you’ll look back and see how quickly and eagerly Mother Nature responds!
My favourite gate in the garden 😍 Lovely when the sun came out today ☀️ that wind was bitter though ❄️💨

Visited 2 nurseries early this morning. Bought some stuff for my chilli growing project. Hung out for a few hours with Rob at Broms in the Berg, in the Hermitage. Rob's about 70 and has a massive nursery with rare and beautiful tropical plants. He's future me, with no beard and Black Crocs. He gave me a Neoregelia Silverado - which is a magnificent flowering bromeliad. And I bought some other pretty things from him too. After that I came home and gardened, until lunch croissants with jam and tea and koeksisters with my gang. Then went back into the garden until dark, planting out our tomatoes.
Then delicious supper with Star Wars theme and The Last Jedi, with my Light Side not The Dark Side girls.
My fingernails are sore and black, while I tap on this screen. My back aches. What a magical, perfect day.
Tomorrows looking pretty similar.
If there's a heaven out there in the great mystery, this is what I choose everyday.

#lilgrainger 2.0 is off to 3 year old preschool next year so we are making presents for the amazing childcare educators @cheekychickencanberra We are so sad to be saying goodbye to a wonderful group of people who have the kids at the heart of everything they do. It takes a village with these two rascals and we are so lucky to have had them in ours 🏘🌱🌵❤ #gardeningwithkids#urbanjungle#succulove
