Did one of the "girls" and a older @streetparkingmembers wod with about a 15 min breather in between.
3 or 4 weeks in a row with double wods on Sunday? I think I like this routine.
Today's @street_parkingwod was a fun lil roaster. Decided to do some heavy front squats after, started with 255 beltless to prepare for a #PR attempt.
Failed 300 the first time, got mad. Grinded through it second try 😡
Trigger warning, I only go for squat PRs in short shorts so don't watch if you ain't bout that life lmaooooo
100% recommend these books. These are helping me train smarter and customize my training using their templates.
Both were Xmas gifts from my brother (Dec 2015 and Dec 2017).
@bretcontreras1 Strong Curves helped me when I finished 2 months of physical therapy - they showed me here how to properly do ab bracing, activating the glutes muscles and a lot of band works, similar to those in Bret Contreras' book. Thanks to him, my booty is stronger and my back doesn't hurt anymore! 🙌
@bradschoenfeldphd Strong and Sculpted is the latest I am using for training. I love how he explains how to correctly write your own program. I started with 3 full body training days since I was used to only 3 days with Strong Curves advanced program. Now I am doing an upper/body split (4 days a week), applying heavy, moderate and light days.

Fitness shoot in my garage gym and inspired by @paulinenordi. She is so badass and I ❤ her (she is kicking ass recovering from a recent surgery right now and I wish her the best). ________________________________
I've been following her journey after surgery and it reminds me of the times I injured my spine and shoulder. Picking my son, who was a baby back then, was painful and that made me feel depressed and broken. I was afraid of going back to my garage gym again and suffered from horrible anxiety but I kept going, even though my fear of reinjuring made me nauseous, made me cry, and shake uncontrollably.
My main goal changed from being only aesthetics to be pain free, improve my quality of life, and be a strong mom. These days I can pick up my 5 year old, pain-free and walk with him on my arms for a mile or more if I have to. That keeps me consistent and discipline with training and nutrition. Looking good now for me is just a sweet bonus and yes, I ❤ my Strong Curves.

Finally put together after remodeling my garage gym. I've acquired this over the last 3 + years, with most of it coming in the last 6 months. I've upgraded over time, buying and selling many times. I'm happy to say I have well rounded garage gym. Some of the items just kind of landed in my lap. Thanks for my wonderful wife @shelbynicole83192 for understanding my love and passion for fitness and iron. All of what you see is in our rent house. There are some imperfections, but that's what you get without modification to the structure. My goal is when we purchase our first home, the garage or shop is bigger and taller. All in all, it's possible no matter what situation you are in. To all the garage gym athletes out there #keepslammin
Oh and recommendations on a GHD? Don't have much space and want an actually GHD not a floor/attachment.
