💀💀💀•••🐕—KING LOUIS —🐕•••💀💀💀
This is our gym doggo Louis.
He is also my first born and only son.
He loves dog treats, long walk on the beach and dragging his beeeehind on carpets.
He does not like being surprised by dropping bars.
You are either with or against Louis. He does not know grey areas. 😂.
The dreaded before. I've been lifting off and on on the concrete slab for a couple years now, but I decided it's time to finally give this space the makeover it deserves and create a garage gym that actually feels like a home within a home. Welcome to Day One. #garagegym#garagegymathlete#garagegymlife#garagemakeover#homegym
At least the skeeters ❤️ me.
I was in the garage gym with one of my mobility challenged clients and got struck at least 14 times in 40 minutes. That’s what I get for not putting on the repellent. This is Southern Calif not some swampy bayou. WTH!
Easing back into the gym life after a crazy month and a half. I did my favorite body area and kept it short (about 30 minutes).
3x10 single arm db shoulder press
3x10 shoulder press
3x10 seated lateral raise
3x10 db row
3x10 reverse fly
3x10 bicep curl
3x5 bench press
Never say never because limits like fears are often just an illusion. - Michael Jordan
Limits are only in your mind.
So are fears.
Push those limits aside, choose faith and just start.
Day 1: 10/1/18. Let’s do this together. I got you. You got me. You ready?
Those side by side shirt pics I post are typically in size large shirts. Here I present a size medium. There’s no flow to it; in fact, it’s quite tight and unflattering (more so in person), but my hope is in a few month’s time I’ll have those side by side differences in size medium shirts as I do in size large.
I gained 4lbs since leaving for Hawaii. I was active but I had alcoholic beverages almost every day and some decadent meals. I’m feeling bloated and groggy so it felt good to be back to eating veggies and plainer meals today. I’m doing a really good job keeping my mindset in check. Before I’d get anxious and stressed about weight gain or bloating, but now I fully understand this is how it’s supposed to be. It doesn’t mean I’m in trouble, or that I fell off the wagon, or anything an anxious mind can come up with to freak me out. Nope.. this is just a snapshot of the present, not an indication whatsoever about where I’m headed.
I’m looking forward to that side by side in this shirt.
OVER TWO YEARS OF PUSH-UPS... In that time the average number of veteran and serving suicides has gone down from 22 per day to 20 per day... Still 20 too many... But we are making a difference... THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND YOUR CONTINUED HELP IN RAISING AWARENESS!!!

THIS CANNOT CONTINUE!!! #letscheckonafriend#itsoktotalk

Get in your CARDIO, with this Tabata Style workout! 8 Rounds 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds break for each exercise. Total 20 minutes! Exercises: Grasshopper, Soccer Kicks, Plank Jacks, Jumping Lunges and Bodybuilders.
I don’t like cleans at all (I’m not built for them, I suck at them, and the learning curve is too steep), but they kinda rock for getting the nervous system ready to go before a max dead.
Things you’ll notice:
1. My clean form sucks, and likely won’t improve substantially. My arms and legs are too long in relation to my torso, making the second pull inefficient. Make sure you understand how anthropometry can change the effectiveness of an exercise.
2. On my max deadlift, the bar travels slightly forward during the rep. My back may have maintained neutral curvature on video, but during the rep I felt like Quasimodo. Keep the bar tight to your body throughout the entire pull!
3. Pulling barefoot, for me, has always felt like it offers huge advantages ONLY if I maintain a strong arch and ankle centration. When my feet aren’t set up properly, it works the other way and hinders my ability to apply force into the ground. Figure out your footwear preferences for big bilateral lower body lifts.
4. A few pogo hops before a max deadlift attempt is a great way to activate the nervous system. You can use other things besides pogo hops, but I have found that movements with very fast amortization times (anything that is a true plyometric) do well for CNS activation. Just keep the reps low.
____ Sooo, when I lift, I prefer some natural light. Otherwise my brain does weird shit and I tend to get dizzy 🤷🏻♀️ don’t ask. I usually open the side door if not the main door. With 8 cats, were always doing head counts. We keep the door from the house into the garage open most of the time so they can go in and out.
If I’m gonna open the side door I obviously close that door and make sure no ones in there but kitties hide and so I was concerned about that as I was doing this set.
This session left me ridiculously sore. Nearly the most sore Id ever been.
At light weight and lower volume.
But having had some time off.. I guess so. Kinda sucks how you can become unadapted so quickly.
What will be will always be that’s all I know.
Just got done meeting with the best 📸 in St. Pete @bryanedwardcreative to game plan for the retreat we are hosting next month for our team 🙌🏼. For the last couple months our coaches have been working hard to earn their spot. We can’t wait to spoil them for the weekend in a luxury beachhouse, with photoshoots and 🍹by the pool.
If you are tired of watching and want to join in the fun....come check out the free info session we are hosting this week 👇🏻👇🏻
