Got started repairing the '35s frame. I am sure there has been more than one previous owner hacking away at this over the years.
Since you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette, I just cut away all the stupid shit...
Ended up replacing front cross members, adding new cross member supports to tie to the x-member and the new transmission mount.
The bottom and rear trans support mounts will stay bolt-in to facilitate trans removal, top will be welded to x-member and cross supports.
Stoked! Most of this is tack welded in place and already the frame is considerably stronger.
Now to the rear crossmember and shock mounts...
