Bloating can be caused by food intolerances, some artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, IBS, and a variety of other factors.

Check your fiber intake. If you’re eating a lot of fruits and veggies and are exceeding 80g of fiber per day this is likely the reason why you’re bloated. Cut back some.

Stress is another overlooked bloater. Cortisol leads to mucho water retention and causes you to bloat like a Thanksgiving day parade balloon. Reduce your stress and you will reduce the bloat.

It started early. Annabelle up out of bed at 4am eager to open her birthday presents!

With that out of the way, off to Parkrun for Annabelle’s 10th, and my 50th, at the ever welcoming Gatton Parkrun.
.
This event, and the people I’ve met here, have helped me change the life of not just myself, but my family. I’ll keep coming back as long as I’m able.
.
To top it off, a bunch of the WLS family made the massive effort to head out to the sticks to help us celebrate!! Can’t thank you all enough.

I hope you enjoyed the friendly, welcoming atmosphere we pride ourselves on at #gattonparkrun .

I didn’t like loosing my hips, butt, and face volume when I got down to 163 😠🙄😒😅 I obsessed over the number .. this time around I’m working on focusing on what, #gainz speed, coordination, balance, flexibilty, agility, better relationships with food and exercise, confidence #buildingmuscle strength #lifting .. I like what I see 😌👌🏽 & that’s all really that matters! —that and healthiness. Time 4 Choco-Coconut Pronuts

Ingredients
Doughnuts (makes 6)
1/2 Cup Plain Flour
1/4 Cup Time 4 Nutrition Whey Protein Vanilla Coconut Milk Flavour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tbsp Cocoa
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/3 Cup Milk of choice
1 Egg
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup/Honey/Sweetener

Frosting
1/4 Cup Time 4 Nutrition Whey Protein Vanilla Coconut Milk Flavour
Just enough milk to make a frosting.

Method
Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh!!! These doughnuts are straight out of awesome town!
Super simple to make and they taste the business.

These will last through the week if keep in an airtight container in the fridge so get a batch done and make that afternoon snack protein packed.

Don't forget though, this is still essentially a doughnut. Although it's been baked and has protein, don't go stuffing your face with 3 at a time!

Mix all your dry doughnut ingredients together in one bowl and the wet in another.

Add the wet to the dry and stir until just combined.

Don't over mix or you'll end up with a tough, rubbery doughnut.

Get the mix into a piping bag or a sandwich bag, cut the end off and pipe the mix into a doughnut mould (silicone works best).

Cook in an oven at 175°c for about 12 minutes but check after 10.

Let them cool a little before turning out onto a cooling rack.

Whilst they're cooling, mix the frosting together. Add a little milk at a time until you get a smooth paste.

Once the doughnuts are cooled, dip them in the frosting and set back on the rack.

Add some toppings (in moderation) if you want.

The chocolate drizzle in the picture is just a little cocoa powder, honey and water mixed to a thick sauce and chucked over in an attempt to be fancy

Time 4 Choco-Coconut Pronuts - Ingredients Doughnuts (makes 6) 1/2 Cup Plain Flour 1/4 Cup Time 4 Nutrition Whey Protein Vanilla Coconut Milk Flavour 1 Tsp Baking Powder 2 Tbsp Cocoa 1/4 Tsp Salt 1/3 Cup Milk of choice 1 Egg 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup/Honey/Sweetener - Frosting 1/4 Cup Time 4 Nutrition Whey Protein Vanilla Coconut Milk Flavour Just enough milk to make a frosting. - Method Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh!!! These doughnuts are straight out of awesome town! Super simple to make and they taste the business. - These will last through the week if keep in an airtight container in the fridge so get a batch done and make that afternoon snack protein packed. - Don't forget though, this is still essentially a doughnut. Although it's been baked and has protein, don't go stuffing your face with 3 at a time! - Mix all your dry doughnut ingredients together in one bowl and the wet in another. - Add the wet to the dry and stir until just combined. - Don't over mix or you'll end up with a tough, rubbery doughnut. - Get the mix into a piping bag or a sandwich bag, cut the end off and pipe the mix into a doughnut mould (silicone works best). - Cook in an oven at 175°c for about 12 minutes but check after 10. - Let them cool a little before turning out onto a cooling rack. - Whilst they're cooling, mix the frosting together. In terms of performance in the gym though, what and when we eat can play a role, after all being Strength Athletes, we want the best performance we can get in the gym, this meal is to fuel the incoming workout & does not want to detract from it.🏋️‍♂️ -
Fat and fibre are slower to digest, so it would make sense to limit their intake a bit more as we get closer to training time. Also, don't forget that carbs are our main source of energy (especially in the gym), so paying a little bit of attention to the GI rating of our carb sources will also play a role.🥐 -
The further out we are, the lower the GI, and as we move towards training simpler more easily digestible carbs are what we ideally would be looking at. ⏱ -
Why do this? A well-timed and sensible meal can help glycogen stores and help reduce fatigue while training (especially helpful if dieting). 😈 -
So, if you're that guy in the gym at 5 am every day, then some simple carbs would help you massively, because I'm pretty certain you won't be up eating some big fibre laden meal 2 hours or so before, so a handful of skittles or a protein shake would be a decent option. 👍 -

For legs, I find that higher reps work great for optimal development. 8-12 seems to be the “ideal” rep range for upper body, 6-8 and 12-20 still being beneficial of course. However for legs, I find 15 - as high as 30 reps gets them to really swell up.
