If I can just for once get everyone to face the camera 😂😂. Big thank you to everyone who came out to support the 11th annual #StMarysfoodbank gala. I was honoured to be your host again this year. Last year we raised over $94,000 dollars to support 3 food banks in Mississauga. Fingers crossed that we can break $100,000. We need to help low income families with the support they need to have a quality life. Almost 50% of the community relies on foodbank support. All staff are completely volunteer so all proceeds go towards food and equipment to service the community. Your continued support is very much appreciated. Head to Stmarysfoodbank.com for more info.
Doing a hard job becomes simple when you remember the joy of helping others. Stanley in Boston keeps the joy in mind and is obviously all smiles! Inspire someone today and you’ll find yourself smiling too. 😊

Its been a while since we have updated you all on Mr. Mac. We have been working hard doing PT and laser trying to reverse the contractor and joint fusion. Unfortunately his legs were just too broken to fix. With a little dog I wouldn’t be concerned about them being scooters. But we have two major issues here for Mr. Mac
Because of his spinal crush his legs will only go out to the side, he is paralyzed so he can’t move his legs around out of his way. The contractor keeps his legs stick straight. He is going to be a big dog. He’s already getting stuck in doorways, under my dining table. Outside his legs get in the way up the hill and he rolls backwards. This problem will only get worse as he’s getting longer. It’s hard to watch him get so frustrated with those dumb legs in the way.
We have decided to amputate both legs at the knees. Our surgeon feels it is the best possible solution for him
To have freedom to move the way he wants. He will fit in a cart this way and be able to hop around his home with ease and never getting stuck.
Surgery is on Monday. Our surgeon is only charging us $1500 to do BOTH legs because he knows we need to raise the money and feels as strongly as I do about this amputation being quality of life changing.
If you could help us help him, every dollar counts. If you would like to donate to Mac’s surgery, please go to www.snarrnortheast.org
Thank you in advance! #MrMac#rescuedog#adopt#foster#fundraise#help#everydollarcounts#noamountistoosmall#amputee#givinghopetothehopeless#snarr
Mile 12 - Blake
When I think of Blake, his loving family and his strong community of friends, I am reminded of this quote: “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.” What an example of staying positive and making the best of a difficult situation. In Blake’s Daddy’s words..... “Blake is the youngest of three children and was diagnosed with ALL on June 13, 2018. As with many cases of ALL, it was literally out of the blue and we were all shocked and saddened, yet ready to meet the challenge head on. Little did we know that Blake would be the one leading the charge! He has truly been a warrior from day one, with little to no complaining along the way! He is already officially in remission with the cancerous cells that were present in his bone marrow already gone! We have about three years of chemo treatment left, but we are obviously optimistic about a full recovery and a cure for his diagnosis!” @battlefieldblakey .
Why do I run? Because you never know when a serial killer may chase you... and also to raise funds for a great charity 😆
This Sunday, October 21st I'll be running my first half marathon (that's over 21 km 😵) with #TeamFaze in support of the @davidcornfieldmelanomafund!
Did you know that skin cancer is the most common cancer in Canada affecting people of all ages?
I'd REALLY appreciate your support and donations to the cause! ~Link in Bio~ for my donation page (you even get a tax receipt woooo... not that I know what it's for, my dad still does my taxes 😅)
"All children deserve an exemplary education, but unfortunately for many parents, the idea of their child attending a private school is out of reach. Thanks to APESF the dream of a private school education has become a reality for many deserving and qualified Bayer students. Since Bayer was established five years ago, APESF has been a supportive and invested partner and has facilitated financial awards to numerous families who would otherwise struggle or be unable to provide a private school education for their children. We are so thankful for that. With the help of APESF, we have been able to sustain and grow our school community." -@bayerprivateschool
This is what we do in our “spare time” #fundraise and help families that lost everything in #earthquakes get a new start.

If you haven't had a chance to canvass your neighborhood or want to continue raising funds, tonight is your night!
Together, we will lead the fight against diabetes!
72 giving individuals stepped up to join the battle last year against rare cancer! Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart - you are giving people second chances! Please consider donating again this year as the battle isn’t over! My donation link is in my bio. Can we make it 100 this year? 2019 season has already begun! *Over 50% of cancer types are rare and it is the least funded type of cancer.
From the moment a child survivor first steps through our gates, her safety and basic needs are met. She may feel scared, confused, or lonely. But at Rapha House, she is safe. She has three nutritious meals each day, clothing and hygiene items, 24/7 security, and a bed that is for rest and not for work. There is no more expectation for services performed, no more shaming, and no more abuse. At Rapha House, she is secure. Only then can the process of healing and recovery begin. This is the first key to freedom.
This month you have the opportunity to double your support for safety and basic care for girls in need. By becoming a safe house partner today, your monthly gifts of $40 or more will be doubled for an entire year up to $15,000. Last year we provided 1,173,840 hours of safety and basic care to girls in our care. Will you join us in providing safety and basic care for those still in need?
106% of our goal reached...WOW! We wouldn’t be able to do this without loyal customers like you! If you haven’t donated already there’s still time!! .
In just three days... on Sunday October 21st, I’ll participate along with dozens of family and friends, in @bike_ms , a one-day, 50 mile ride through New York City, that is organized by the National MS Society. Every mile I ride before and during the race will be fueled by my father’s 20 year fight, and by the struggle that too many of us wage against MS, including the friends and loved ones who fight at their side. If you’re interested in registering or making a donation, click the link in our bio.
WHAT WILL YOU DO? 🤔
Our new platform lets you fundraise in your own unique way!
Check out what @roya_so_artsy is doing for education. Roya is a very well-known Seattle-based artist, who just started her own campaign benefiting Zunuzi School in Haiti. She recently returned from Haiti and was so inspired by what she saw there, that she painted a beautiful new collection. Read her story, check out all the pieces, and see how you can support education AND own a gorgeous original piece of artwork! (Link in bio)
