We use our hands to interact with the world everyday. 🖐🏼 When they are used in a repetitive manner or are unsupported, it can cause them to ache and hurt. The muscles in and around the hand and wrist can get tight and compress the nerves which can lead to carpal tunnel like symptoms. Hand and wrist pain is something I treat quite often. ➡️Try stretching out through the forearms to release the tension down through the tendons that attach into the hand. ➡️Stretching through the pec muscles (chest muscles) can release tension down the chain of muscles ➡️Or get assessed to find out the root of the pain and get treated so you are on the right path of less pain and dysfunction.

Without central stability, you will lack distal mobility... the body requires a strong core in order to perform.
Some great core endurance exercises are:
1. Abdominal crunches (not full sit ups!)
3. Side planks

Maureen never gives up! Every time she walks thru the door she gives a true 100%. Doesn’t complain about it being difficult even though I KNOW it is, she just ask for direction and gives it her all. At the end of the day, it’s got ZERO to do with the dumbass leader board, or who can do a muscle up and who can’t... but what amount of effort did you put out there?! Are you giving you all, because yourself is the only comparison that holds ANY weight at the end of the day. The bonus round.
Going into the @canwestgames we had one goal - make the top 12 so we could take part in the final workout.
We started the day poorly but rallied hard to finish up in 9th overall. We would take 7th in this workout ‘The Supernova’
Such a sweet pic. The calm before the storm - all three ducks focused on what we needed to do... @acmorty so excited for front squats, he laid an egg... even @ffrubner134 looks ready to ‘no rep’ us!

As children we’re conditioned to look at food as reward. As we get older, we carry that with us! Even in the workplace, bosses treat us to a lunch out or bring in various desserts and yummy savoury snacks to show us how much they appreciate the work we do. Why we need to break this tradition ❌
Rewarding ourselves with food can actually lead to bigger problems . Every time you experience something great, you’re going to think about food. You can go from “man that was a hard workout I got through, time for ice-cream” to “what a stressful day at work, I’m definitely ordering pizza when I get home”
➡️ Let’s be real, getting through the day is not something to celebrate!
There are sooo many things you enjoy doing which make you feel good! Dancing, singing, going to the theatre, painting, reading, writing poetry, gardening, renovating, creating, meditating - you may have to dig deep but I promise you there are other things in life you enjoy alongside food 🍰🍫🍿🎂🍩🍷
A tough tradition to break, but just like anything - effort and consistency = results😊
