First and last time! FULL marathon. I have upmost respect for those warriors out there and 499 that kicked my ass.
Coolest thing about this was that just over 3 months ago I dead lifted my life goal of 500lbs, then set to accomplish my next life goal of a marathon. ✅✅ Gotta keep on challenging!
My beautiful wife has this ability to give some of the most incredible gifts. Let me tell you. ~
I am turning 42 in October and for my birthday. @Isabellevigneault_plus, gave to me a full marathon registration two days before my birthday. Ohh yes a full 42.2 km marathon.
Have I ran a marathon before? Nope, Am I a long distance runner? Nope, Am I nervous? A bit…... A lot. Just thinking about it produces butterflies in my stomach.
For me that is the feelling of life, the feeling of something new, the feeling of something that challenge myself to the most extreme limits. Something that will require not only my physical effort but most importantly my mental fitness and strength.
I am super excited not only for the race day but for every single moment that will lead to that loud horn sound that will kick off a 42.2 km journey that represent each an every year of my life. So, Bring it on. Starting today I am preparing myself with passion, love and dedication to make Oct 28th, 2018 unforgettable. ~
Thank you amor

Hard training is the 101 rule of making significant progress but there are times where it’s right to thanks your body for what it endured and give it time to recover with easy workout. I’m still feeling the fatigue and join pains here and there, but my pace is coming back and I start feeling my energy slowly showing up again. I think that I am still a couple of weeks away from being fully recovered but I’m on the right track and will be starting soon a new prep for new challenges. How long is your typical post marathon recovery, any advice? I’ve been doing a lot of stretching and started running slow and short distances to keep moving without adding extra fatigue, it seems to be working great for me. #postmarathon#workoutrecovery#easyrun#fullmarathon#marathonfinisher#runhealthy#postrunning#postrunselfie#newgoals#treatyourselfwell#itsnotover#itsnotoveryet
First full marathon in the books ✅ - Big thanks goes out to my dad and my roommate @instagurns91 who have been my role models and believed in me when I said I wanted to tackle the full. I ran a rough 4:47, but I made it through and now I can try and improve on my time. All the runs through the snow storms this winter definitely paid off. #manitobamarathon2018#fullmarathon
Well it wasn’t planned AT ALL, but yesterday I ran my SECOND full marathon with so LITTLE training you could probably laugh😳. The hills went straight up, and the trails were very root-y, and rocky which I knew to expect coming from mainly being a road runner😅. I actually won this race a week and a half ago, was planning on doing the half but realized if I wanted to make the most of the experience I better up it to the full 😂🤦🏼♀️. I knew that it would be hard, especially since I didn’t train for this one, come from a trail running background, or have enough energy gels on me to keep going, but I wanted to take the risk 🤞🏻🙂. I also traveled two states away to make it happen! I knew that if I wanted to stop, I could’ve dropped to the half anyway at that point in the race, so I gave it a shot. Running is so mental, so that’s what I kept in my mind while running. Sore muscles will heal and go away, but an experience lasts a memory and a lifetime 🙌🏻🏃🏼♀️. I definitely surprised myself and (maybe) shed a few tears towards the end due to frustration of being silly and upping to the full, but it got done .
