Whew! Second workout of the day ✔️✔️✔️ I haven't been swimming in probably 12 years. I've been in a pool, around a pool, but not swimming. 
I decided to add it to my workout routine once a week in order to get a good, additional workout without adding extra stress on my joints.
Swimming works everything! And although I was a bit rusty, I didn't lose much, and was even able to complete several laps before getting tired. 
I'll definitely keep this in my workout rotation.

On another note, my hair still got wet so I will be changing my wash day to coincide with the day I swim 🏊🏊🏊
Other than that, it was a great workout!

I've gotta say, I love the flexibility of not having to leave the house to get a workout in. 🌧On rainy days like today, the convenience of it REALLY shines! Hablemos de dieta y nutrición, en mi opinión y ojo cada quien tiene la suya aparte que cada cuerpo es un mundo 🌍, la dieta es la base de todo a muchos les gusta decir que el 70 % para mi la dieta es el 💯% no importa lo que quieras lograr con tu cuerpo siempre se basa en la dieta, ejemplo un atleta competidor fitness jamás logrará su punto requerido si no se basa en su dieta no importa cuanto entrene 🤷🏼‍♀️ una persona obesa no perderá todo el peso deseado si no se ajusta al 100 % a su dieta en un momento determinado (al principio con solo cambiar hábitos ya se quitará tallas, pero llega un momento que necesita ajustes y compromiso al 💯) una persona enferma no se cura al 100% si no lleva la dieta adecuada a su condición.

Otro factor importante es la nutrición, tener el equilibrio y balance en los 3 macronutrientes es aún más importante 🙆🏼‍♀️, comer la cantidad correcta de proteína, carbohidratos y grasas permite que nuestros cuerpos trabajen de la mejor manera, eliminar del todo algunos de estos no es nada bueno, no importa la dieta que sigas incluso las dietas cetogénicas usan los 3 macronutrientes solo que en porciones diferentes, nuestros cuerpos están diseñados para usar y maximizar los 3 macros, así que no les tengas miedo 😋.

Been quite a while since I’ve lifted so this was session was a test of my strength while still also being a good workout. •••
I started off with squats and jumped up from my previous working weight of 185lbs to my previous 5x5 max of 225lbs (call me crazy). I was able to manage the sets but definitely am feeling the stress in my hamstrings. I don’t see myself stepping back from the weight either so it’ll just be a rough few weeks to accustom.

Chest workouts were good, bench press I kept at 135lbs because I’m not out here to get ripped and the strength gains of 135lbs are more than enough for me. I paired up Arnold presses right after so my anterior delts were feeling it (hence the pause after 7reps and the restart to finish the last 3). It was essentially a superset so I’ll see how I feel after a few more weeks of this.

Back was pretty standard. I really missed doing bent over rows so today was a welcome session. Followed that up with lat pulldowns for a horizontal pull strength/vertical pull hypertrophy split. While similar to the chest workout, this felt easier which I’m thankful for. I tried to pause at the lower portion of the movement for a better concentric burn.
